While Queenstown Bank is not my primary bank, it was for both my father and mother. When my father passed away, the branch in Ridgely was very supportive and helpful as I worked through all of the financial issues with their account there and getting everything transferred to my mother and myself as co-owner. They were very helpful, answered my questions and were very patient with me as I maneuvered through everything with their estate. Then once again when my mother passed away, they were very helpful and accommodating. They definitely have that small town service vibe and were very welcoming. The only negative, is that I couldn't find where they have credit cards for their customers, which I thought was odd. Other than that, I think they a great bank. I just don't live close to them to warrant being my main bank.

Absolutely amazing community bank! Their customer service is second to none and the go out of their way to assist their customers.

If you are looking for a small, hometown bank that treats you like a perfect stranger every time you walk in the door...then this is the bank for you. I moved to town three years ago. I walk or drive by the bank several times a day. I have one of their baseball caps from some community event last year. I live two blocks away and work one block away. I was in there with my two very young grandsons last week to try to give the boys a lesson in the value of money and banking in general. My deposit history (five larger cash deposits over the last 10 months) was suspect enough that they planned to put a five day hold on a large check I was depositing today from my own account at my old (large regional) bank on the other side of the country. A phone call to the manager and attempt to find a reasonable solution got nowhere. The lack of "small town neighborly service", combined with the fact that they don't have the national data sharing services to make life easier (in my case sharing data with YNAB because I keep track of every penny coming and going), mean that my attempt to "buy local" is a failed experiment. You might want to find some other place to bank.
