Northwest Hospital, a community hospital located in Randallstown, serves the health care needs of the northwest Baltimore area. The hospital functions differently from the traditional hospital, creating an environment conducive to direct patient care through smaller 20-bed units, private patient rooms, elimination of nursing stations, and the placement of supplies, medications, and charts in close proximity to patients. Patients have reported positive experiences at Northwest Hospital. The nurses were described as professional and caring, while the support staff was informative and helpful. The quick response to nursing calls was exceptional, and the overall staff was polite and professional. Patients have recommended the hospital, stating that it should not be judged by negative reviews. However, some patients have expressed frustrations, particularly with the responsiveness of certain doctors. One patient felt that their cardiologist had not provided timely results or communication, leading to a prolonged hospital stay. Despite this, the staff on the second floor was praised as amazing, and the support staff was also commended. In the emergency department, the staff was described as efficient and caring, even during busy periods. Patients have expressed gratitude for the exceptional care provided by nurses, who treated them with compassion and made them feel like family during times of distress.
I would like to thank everyone from the emergency room staff to the nurses on the Progressive care unit to the cardiac and Pulmonary doctors. Everyone is at the top of their game and I am forever grateful for that thank you so very much

My husband had surgery recently at Northwest Hospital and everyone we interacted with was wonderful! The nurses were professional and caring. The support staff was informative and helpful. Don't judge the entire hospital by the negative reviews.
