“Dr. Shoemaker is a very special doctor and truly has the gift of healing. She is so in tune with her patients, paying careful detail to what their body needs. We have never once felt rushed during an appointment and I always leave having a thorough understanding of the diagnosis and how best to care for each of my pets. I’ve taken a dog who was battling two cancers, another who was lame and unable to walk prior to their appointment and Dr. Shoemaker helped both immensely. Can’t recommend her enough !”
“Professional, caring, thorough, and prompt. Just did a PPE on a horse in Maryland -- and we are located in SC. Dr. Donaldson was fantastic to work with. We filled out the PPE form on a Sunday, and he called that afternoon to set up the plan for Tuesday. He is thorough and will talk you through the findings, medically and in regard to performance goals, but you can also tell he really roots for his clients to find nice, healthy horses. He was very excited for us and even requested updates on how the horse is progressing. The office staff was also prompt, organized, and kind. Should we ever need a PPE in the area again -- we would use Dr. Donaldson/Unionville Equine in a heartbeat. It was a pleasure!”
“Very disappointed! I have been going to this practice for almost 10 years. My 14 year old dog has been treated there for colon issues for several years. Instead of at least looking at him today, they want me to take him to an emergency clinic which will cost me thousands. This is not a new condition or the first time he has ever had problems like this. He nhas been treated there for the same symptoms in the past. Very disappointing.
Took my dog in for evaluation and I was very happy with the attention he got from Dr Tanya Emslie and the staff. I would highly recommend them. I have been disappointed in the past but received excellent care yesterday!”
“Dr. Mindy and the staff have been caring for my dogs/cats for many years, even after I moved to take a faculty position in Colorado. I reached out when my elderly cat was having a significant issue and she was there, via phone, and text, talking me through, and ordering meds to help my beloved "Bebe." Later Dr. Mindy kept in contact to follow up and was supportive, kind, and caring in making the decision to end her suffering.”

“I couldn’t say enough great things about this veterinary office. This was my first time coming here after a very stressful experience blue pearl hospital where I left feeling confused, no explaining of what things may of been and why,
or even options to take, just a bill and a puppy that will was hurting. From the moment I walked in, the difference was night and day. The staff was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. The veterinarian took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me in a way that actually made sense, answered all of my questions without rushing, and most importantly, reassured me during a really scary time. I left feeling so much more at ease, and my dog received excellent care. I’m truly grateful to have found this place and will absolutely be coming back.
