Terrible staff. I bought a product only to get home and open it and there was trash inside! plastic wrapper, pencil and paper balls. Wth! Also on other occasions have gone 1130-1150pm and they were already closed. Closing time is supposed to be midnight

Corporate needs to retrain this whole store especially the pharmacy. They do not answer the phone for physicians or patients. Ive had to advise patients to remove their medications from this location after having patients experience medical emergencies and being unable to get in touch with the pharmacy. This pharmacy is to be avoided at all costs!

The times I’ve had to go I received nothing but excellent service. Plus even dealing with the pharmacy staff, it’s been nothing but professional service.

everytime I call Walgreens (any branch), they will answer "Please hold" and then put me on hold. No one will actually answer the call. Horrible customer service lol

They’ve always been cordial and nice , for medications - I recommend coming in person or drive through once they get your prescription and personally requesting when can you pick up, and they’ll fill it for you in 15-20 minutes. I had an issue with them running my insurance incorrectly and it’s just not a headache I want in my future, so we switched to another pharmacy. They seemed helpful and knowledgeable but don’t seem to have a computer system that works up to speed and efficiently with insurance.

Disorganized mess. Bought 2 Ghirardelli chocolate bars last night advertised on special at 2 for $7. Ended up paying $3.99 apiece when I checked out with my Walgreen's card. Pharmacy is also goofy. Finding your prescription always seems to be an adventure. And forget calling the pharmacy. I waited 50 minutes one day for someone to pick up the phone. The guy who finally picked up promised to address my issue, but never did. Then there were the eyedrops that were supposed to be refrigerated, but weren't etc., etc., etc. On the limited plus side, the employees are nice people.

Absolutely horrible pharmacy!! I feel sorry for anyone needing medication for any life threatning condition. Don't waste your time at this Walgreen.Do not send your prescription to this location. This is my third attempt to get my prescription and once gain they failed to deliver, or carry simple medications. They also NEVER answer phone calls.The staff was polite but useless!!

When you walk in the employee s greet you either good morning I love it. In my line of work, I appreciate that kind of greeting. It's this young guy who works in the pharmacy department and he has the best personality. Oh my God! I was driving my cousin around one day. She had me going back and forth in the store. When the young man saw that I was crying. I mean, he literally gave me a quick therapy session, lol. It's not funny, though. He gave me a hug, told me to keep taking care of my family...and that he loved me! Lord, I pray he goes a long way....because God has him.

Tell me why my mother , who isn’t fluent in English goes in and the cashier who is white with long blonde hair, he’s funny as well. My mother was showing him that she had ordered a canvas Online and be says “ I don’t understand why they don’t learn English” he could’ve kept that to himself. Absolutely disrespectful.

I should have read the reviews before trying to fill my prescription here, because my experience has also been awful (but at least it's not just me?). My doctor sent in the scrip on Tuesday morning, and after three days of effort, I'm just hoping to be able to get it filled on Friday, but who knows. Calling is useless--you'll be on hold for 30 minutes minimum. Showing up in person at least means they have to talk to you, but so far that hasn't helped because the pharmacists are bumbling and apparently no one keeps any record of what you tell them. (The folks on the registers are very competent, but that obviously doesn't get the job done.)Getting a prescription filled here is an aggravating full-time job. Do yourself a favor--if you need a pharmacy, go literally anywhere else.

Absolutely horrendous service at this location. My new pharmacy has been trying to get in touch to transfer a prescription, but nobody would answer the phone. I finally called to ask if someone at this location had ever gotten the call and without asking for any details, bluntly and rudely stated “Nobody called.” They didn’t have enough information to possible answer that, so I pushed back and said that they did call and nobody answered, after which the pharmacy then asked for my DOB and the prescription I wanted transferred, which just led to them saying that my new pharmacy can initiate the transfer if they call them, so the conversation got me nowhere. I can tell they are terribly short staffed by the long lines, inability to staff the drive through window or answer the phone, and random pharmacy closures. I feel for employees who are left to deal with that, but this is a whole other level of failure in customer service. GET IT TOGETHER.

Very nice store on the corner. Ample parking and the store was very clean and organized. It’s also very well stocked. The staff was friendly and eager to help. The pharmacy staff was kind and helpful as well. There was a lot of items on sale for buy one get another for 50% off. We were able to get in and out quickly. The make up selection was good and there was a wide selection. Good experience and great prices.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but I feel obligated to warn the community of the harm they will cause to anyone trying to get a prescription filled. Don't even try calling; they even put my doctors office on hold for 90+ minutes and then hang up on them. I've been in line for 45m to even find out if they can fill my prescription and on hold at the same time to literally watch the pharmacist hang up on me. Doesn't appear to be in a hurry for anything... humming to himself while leisurely doing whatever... Watched a person who was doing vaccines cuss out an entire line of people. Horrible. They shouldn't have any job, let alone providing needed health services. It's impossible to get anything taken care of without taking a day or two off of work. It takes a full day of active effort at least to get any prescription filled or even find out they can't fill it. Go anywhere else. Literally anywhere. Avoid at all cost; they don't really function at all.

Things began a bit rocky because the entirety of our prescriptions for Covid-19 medication were not filled. However, the situation was immediately resolved by Pharmacist Mary Amokomowo, who is absolutely superior in her skill, professionalism and customer service. Although saddled with a tech that acted unprofessional and childish, Mary stepped in and resolved the situation with grace, intelligence and compassion. She is absolutely amazing and a study in professionalism and competence. She is to be commended. The Pharmacy Dept. will work out fine, as long as she is employed at this Walgreens. The young man working as pharmacy cashier also did a fine job and exhibited good customer service skills that are to be commended. However, Mary is the reason for this 5 star review. She deserves these accolades and she deserves your business. She is absolutely top shelf and Superior at her profession. This Walgreens Pharmacy needs and deserves the support of the Hyattsville and Riverdale community. My highest recommendation!

I'm frankly surprised this location has stayed open as long as it has. As other posters noted, they keep changing their hours for the pharmacy and trying to get a prescription filled is a nightmare. They advertise you can get your prescription delivered; I tried this option once and when the delivery time came and went, I called them up (and try getting a person to answer the phone!!); they said " oh it's sitting here now..." take a look at their magazine selection, they've had an Old Farmers Almanac from 2018 sitting on the rack since pre pandemic! I made an appt online to get my second covid booster. Got several reminder and confirmation texts, robocalls, and emails about my appt, including the morning of appt. I don't drive, took the bus to the store. When I got to the pharmacy counter, was told vaccine hadn't been delivered as it was too hot outside. Ok understand, but nobody could call, text, whatever to let me know? Sorry for the long rant, but this store is a mess
