I am amending to one star, but would give zero if I could. This place is a scam. After all my nightmares with them and their billing, I received an unexpected and large bill six months after my sleep study had occurred. I called the billing department to discuss it and the person I was speaking with offered to zero out my bill as an apology. She did mention at the time the company was changing billing companies soon. I feel stupid now for not getting her confirmation in writing, as six months after that and 13 months after my last sleep study, I'm being billed again for both sleep studies. Call the billing office and they have no record of my discussions with the previous billing company. They don't bill transparently, or in a timely manner, and have seemingly erased all record of anything that happened with the old billing company. Why should I pay for their poor recordkeeping? They are a scam only after your money. All this stress and frustration and what do I have to show for it? Absolutely nothing because my sleep problems haven't been addressed at all and I'm still tired all the time, even using the CPAP.

The most incompetent and dishonest medical establishment. Folks at front desk are not helpful at all. Non sense charges

I'm a patient of Dr. Keya's at the Rockville location. Dr. Keya is fine. Dealing with the office staff is very frustrating. I've spoken with both Kimberly and Victoria who are both very kind, but getting a message relayed to Dr. Keya is impossible. This office needs more administrative assistance and streamlined processes to ensure patients are able to communicate with their provider.

I can tell you that the Germantown location is really beautiful waiting area is well done the decor in the back there’s bedrooms for when you have to do your overnight sleep study they are all beautiful the reception area. It’s like they’re on auto tune with one in that copayment, even if you do have a secondary insurance, is just part of their nature to ask. does the doctor does a thorough examination and then he send you into the exam room of I forgot what the title of the lady is that does another kind of examination on your legs. But through the experience we talked and laughed and it was a semi- comforting experience because of that. after that you get the device and it’s like two devices and one one is for one day the others for the next two days and it just pretty much record what your mind ,your sleep etc. goes through and then you bring it in on the day that they tell you to bring it in if you don’t, they try to charge you for not bringing it back. if and when you do have to go to the sleep, study itself, the rooms are just so nice and even I got a room with the bathroom. There’s no shower in the bathroom so when you finish the sleep study you go home but they usually come in about 4:30 in the morning. So pretty much I figured I would need the CPAP machine. This was the frustrating part of everything I had to go to the Rockville location and I’m thinking OK I’m going to get my CPAP machine anything else you could’ve told me over Zoom They said I owe $1300, I said oh no my insurance says they paid it I called my HR is in my insurance policy and even if it wasn’t my secondary insurance would’ve paid for it. But according to them, it was a guess medical billing didn’t put in the information yet, so I couldn’t get my equipment I went to two appointment where it was like that the second appointment the doctor actually talk to me other than saying you owe $1300 & smoothed the situation down which I really appreciate that, I still left empty-handed but after you get a text or email to do a face scan so the text that I received was to tell me that I was getting my machine but after I do the face scan and I’ll probably probably be getting it in the mail. So I receive the text/ email to do a face scan so that they can measure my face. but all in all it was a great experience at the Germantown/Rockville locations I would recommend Sleep Services of Maryland office and staff for doing an excellent job

Dr Miller listened and explained what the problem most likely, and unlikely, would be. He showed me data to help me understand what needed to be done. He was very pleasant and helpful.

Horrible place. I got a phone call saying I didn't have sleep apnea and they would email my results. I was basically dismissed. I took my results to my primary and then a neurologist. It stated in my report I had significant periodic limb movement and I was told I didn't sleep long enough to rule out sleep apnea. I am now under proper treatment. Stay away from this place. They are incompetent.

The rooms do not have individual thermostats and the place was stiflingly hot. A staff member did lower a thermostat in the hallway for me a bit, but told me it could not go any lower as it controlled all of the rooms and a colder temperature might not work for the other patients. By the time the room cooled down I was so agitated from the thick heat that I couldn't even think about sleeping and decided to postpone the sleep study. A short web search will quickly bring many articles about sleep research showing that the optimal temperature for sleeping is in the 60s. A sleep study lab should have optimal conditions for sleeping. The staff was nice, but when I arrived there was nobody at the front desk and it stayed that way for a very long time. I only started getting processed when someone passed by in the hallway and noticed I was there. I had to fill out a large number of paper forms when I arrived there. I wish that could have been taken care of via a web portal beforehand. I was there for sleep issues and was already very tired. One of the forms I had to fill out was very faded, had extremely small fonts and had inadequate space for answers. Consider the costs involved they could have created a new form at least have printed out a better copy.

Couldn’t understand the employee who explained the procedure. He had a thick heavy Russian accent. The bedrooms were hot temperature wise. I was sweating. I asked about the A/c and was told the building controls the temperature. Why weren’t there fans in the room? The techie had no personality and was unfriendly.

The man who runs it has such a heavy Russian accent that I could understand half of what he said. Place was clean but bedrooms where very HOT. I was sweating laying in bed. When I complained they said the building controls the temperature. In order to sleep your body temperature has to drop for the sleep cycle to start. the hot room doesn't allow that. the female technician was efficient but not very friendly. I had to pee and did what they told me to get attendant to unhook me so I could go to the bathroom. I had to scream over and over to get attendant to come.

Unfortunately, customer service isn’t something that this provider understands.I called to check on my results after not receiving them, and I was told to call back at another time - no explanation or apology, just told to call back.I asked to speak to someone higher in the organization and was told someone would call me.The Clinical Coordinator called me on her lunch break, and made sure to repeat several times that she was calling on her lunch break, and proceeded to talk over me whilst attempting to give me my results. There was no mention of an MD or another qualified individual following up with up me.It’s obvious what happened here - I paid my copay, my insurance paid their part, and this “provider” couldn’t give a damn about anything else.I will say that the technician who worked me me during my sleep study was excellent.

Save your money and go to a place that cares; a place that is organized. This place is a joke! No one calls you back, hard to schedule appointments, total lack of information!
