“We have been taking our cars to Gary and his team for several years now. They have never failed to provide uncomparable service, with fair and clear rates, as well as detailed descriptions of proposed work. And most importantly they keep track of what our car services our car has had done and what it needs and have always kept an open line of communication via phone text and email.
Here's another small but huge thing for me: a few years back my daughter and I were on vacation and had an issue with my car's starter. We were 4 hours away from Preferred but I called them anyway. I spoke to Todd (a dream!) who quickly diagnosed the issue over the phone. Because they keep such accurate records of our vehicle he was able to tell me when that part had last been addressed and explained why it may have been an issue now. He even offered suggestions for how to find a reputable shops for the repair as well as parameters for a fair pricing.
How is THAT for service?
We have referred many friends and neighbors to Preffered and will continue to do so. I cannot say enough good things about them.”

“I brought my car here a few months ago for repairs and was beyond satisfied with the repairs. I liked that they kept me updated and dealt with my insurance directly instead of me playing monkey in the middle.
Unfortunately, I was recently in an accident. Without hesitation, I knew that I would choose this shop to handle the repairs again. The staff always seem to go above and beyond for their customers compared to other typical repair shops I have been to. I don't know much about cars so I also appreciated the fact that they took the time to explain everything to me so I could also understand what was going on as well. “I had my schedule maintenance with these guys and I went in expecting to just so my oil change and change the air filters. Turns out my car wasn’t aging as gracefully as I would have liked and I had a bunch of other repairs ie replacing the alternator, some suspension work, long story short? Expensive. David and the team at Mid Atlantic Auto Works made this less than pleasant situation very comfortable for me and helped me figure out what was most important to do and how best to go about. Amazing team doing amazing work!! Their prices are fair and they will be very honest with you if you give them the chance to!”
“Our go to for our lexus car oil change and tire rotation with Andrew. They also did our 30k miles routine and bought new tires at 55k miles. A one stop shop indeed. Best price in the area. They are open on some Saturdays for appointment only. Parking can be tough but the service is exceptional!”
“Friendly and knowledgeable staff, with good service and good prices, and no pressure towards services you don't need. When I got a flat, they quickly and inexpensively plugged a tire that was fixable when they easily could have tried to sell me a new one. Thousands of miles later, when it was time to replace the set, they had top-rated Michelins in-stock at a reasonable price, and they were able to do an oil change along with the tire installation and alignment. This is a not just a good neighborhood tire place—it's also my new go-to for other auto maintenance like oil changes.”

They replaced the bulbs, check all other bulbs, and had me in and out in under 15 minutes. There was no up selling, which often happens to females. They provide professional, efficient, and courteous service. This is the best place in North Bethesda/Rockville to get your car serviced. “Such honest people! I brought my car in for a complete brake job (rotors and pads) and the technician realized I still have some life on my pads and rotors and they didn't need to be done. They easily could have told me they needed the replacement and tried to upsell me for more, and instead, looked out for me and didn't try to make me spend when I didn't need to. Very reasonable prices too. I will certainly be using Hoon's as my #1 auto shop now!”

“I called before I came in today due to my battery possibly failing in my car. This was around 4pm on a Friday. Upon bringing my car in Martine said my alternator was failing as well and my driver belt was cracked. He explained everything to me thoroughly and was able to help me understand the importance of getting certain things fixed. To replace my battery, alternator, and my driver belt it took a little under a hour and a half.
