I had the best experience this morning picking up my prescription! I have had a terrible time at two different CVS locations in the area and was determined to switch pharmacies, but I will gladly drive a little further for this service. I was helped by a female pharmacist around 9:30am who worked efficiently with the customer ahead of me resulting in less than a minute of wait time (I don’t mind a wait, but it was so nice to see that someone was valuing my time and doing their best). More importantly, she competently tracked down my prescription, checked the bottle, positioned the bottle in front of me so I could also review the label while she continued on her computer, and asked clarifying questions about my profile. She asked me if I had any questions (rather than just telling me to sign, which never particularly bothered me, but it sure is appreciated to be asked), and facilitated the rest of the process. She had a wonderful disposition, didn’t treat me like a burden, and I will return to this pharmacy as a result.
Note: I came to this pharmacy because of a wonderfully helpful phone conversation with a different pharmacist over the phone last Friday afternoon. She competently answered my question about whether my prescription would be able to be filled (this was a problem and the other CVSs I tried the days prior) and explained it could be ordered and would be ready in a few days. If not for this phone call I would have switched from CVS despite relying on CVS my whole life because it has just been that terrible lately (other locations).
As for store #11433 (Wisconsin Ave), beware!! Demeaning and horrible.

It is so convenient that it is inside the Target store, if I need to go to the store and leave a prescription at the pharmacy I can do both without having to go around so much.

Prescription wasn’t covered by new insurance so I was supposed to get the generic version. I was asked by one of the workers “if any generic was okay” and I was given a different brand of medication with twice the dosage. No generic for my original medication even exists, and I wasn’t told about that nor the swap. I was never given counsel about the differences between the medication and honestly don’t even know if what happened is allowed since I never got an ok or prescription for the swap from my doctor.Tl;dr: I was given the wrong version of an important medication without my knowledge and led to believe it was the generic version
