This place is the perfect example of what is wrong with the mental health support in our country. The counselor that was sent to see my mother had the most wildly accusatory and unprofessional conversation with my sister after the visit. He all but blamed my mother's condition on my sister. This couldn't be further from the truth. You are better off calling ANYONE else.

We waited for 1 hour and a half for someone to talk to my son, nobody could attend to us, it was 9:00 pm, there was no one else waiting and when we asked how much longer we would have to wait, I only remember the unpleasant face of this lady saying, and now what we had to go home with that memory and the feeling of being a annoyance.when leaving there not only was my son in crisis but also I was feeling hopeless

If zero was an option, then that is what I would give them. I went to the crisis center after I felt threatened by the gang MS-13. I let them know that I wanted a crisis bed at the rainbow shelter or to get an Uber which I would pay for with my own money to go to Medstar Franklin Square Baltimore. I am with Medstar for all of my other healthcare needs and know that I am in good hands. Even though I was voluntary, they instantly call the Rockville police department. While waiting , the security guard yelled at me for looking at brochures and then yelled at me for using the bathroom . I kindly reminded him that there is no warrant for my arrest and I am not quite in handcuffs. In the future, save yourself the police brutality and steep medical expensive of an unacceptable lifetime sentences in the hell of Adventist healthcare. These events in a sanctuary city make me want to move elsewhere. I can no longer even access healthcare because once you are in the system, they will use it against you for lifetime of institutionalization. Even though my phone calls were limited , I had my mom reach third parties. The Rockville police department did not want to help . Frank Lazarro from the district attorneys office did, as well as international lawyers, board certified physicians, family members, friends, fiancés , etc. now I’m stuck with a $39,000 of bills for unwarranted service. Don’t call 922, call 311 and ask for James stokes from the human rights division, which is located on the 3rd floor above the Rockville library .#cook county cares #corporate sponsors care

If someone is truly in crisis, this is not the place to go. The waiting room has two people/clients, but the wait is now 55 minutes. The staff appear to be sitting around, but no one is helping the clients. Staff walking around in the pen, looking at websites. But no urgency to reach clients.

The counselor whom I spoke with of concerns regarding my daughter's behavior in school was very knowledgeable. She helped me understand why my daughter is acting out in school and to realize that my daughter doesn't have a problem. She was very resourceful and she showed compassion and very helpful with explaining things to me in a way that others misconstrue real life situations from what's not being presented.

Yea the guy that works there is super rude, here I am trying to explain that a child might be sudicial as a result of the abuse she is facing at home and he kept cutting me off to redirect to call to children services. Even I am trying to explain to him, I already talked to child services and they told me to call this number, he giggles and cuts me off again and kept telling me to call child services. He was not even listening to me. Please stop hiring people with no souls for these kind of positions. It’s really unkind!

You all are a joke. You pick and choose who you help. Under trained staff. Some with way too little patience, tolerance or care. They are quick to judge, assess and rule things out. Yet, really quick to go 0-100 real quick on unnecessary assuming actions. I should not have had my food stamps taken!! I filled out and submitted two copies. One in the mailbox and thr other by SS in Rockville. I'm sick of your games and lying. You can be wrong too! Here we are, monthssss later and hoursss wasted. Get off your ass and do something! Start with a call back to me!!

Don’t let the bad reviews scare you away! The staff are doing the best they can and are very friendly and helpful! My first visit, I had to wait a few hours before I could meet with someone - but that was because I just walked in. If you plan on doing that, I suggest that you bring something to occupy yourself. After meeting with a therapist, I was able to get an appt with Dr. K a week or so later. Now I’ve been on meds for almost 2 months.Have patience and be kind, because those workers are trying their best with the little resources they have.

Dave and Dave, I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service on floor 2 this morning. I came to follow up on my Covid rent relief application at 9:30am. I patiently waited and then was called on my cellphone at 9:37am to ask what it was I needed so I requested to speak with Miss Suarez Face to face. She did not call me to the emergency side (window 6) until 10:10am. And then I spoke with the gentlemen at the front desk who checks people in. He yelled at me to calm down. I wish their was a better level of respect. I have worked 17 years and am having a hard time, why do the people I have paid their salary for so long, have to have such a low level of customer service. It was abhorrent. I really hope you address this. Btw Jamal at counter 8 in the germantown location is a gem. All the germantown employees are exponentially more customer service oriented. That is why I am giving 3 stars. Please address the 1301 piccard drive 2nd floor issues. Thank you Respectfully, Anna Tedrow

Not Good. They bring the Police as “protection” for themselves which causes patients to instantly distrust the counselors intentions. It is perceived by the patient as a punitive threat meant to punish rather than help. If one is afraid of the population one serves, then one should find another profession. Add to that, there is no funding if they find the person in crisis needs hospitalization. You are looking at a potential $30K hospital bill if they take the person to an Emergency Psychiatric Unit. It is an untenable situation for families with mentally ill members. There is no community support other than punitive both personally for the patient and financially for the family. But the Crisis Team was just awarded millions of dollars to get more mobile units across the state. Too bad there is no genuine care at the end, as if they do go to the hospital it’s only short-term and there are no resources for follow up care or housing. Pay close attention to the patient reviews here. They are accurate. Posits by other family members seem to be about patients who are not severely mentally ill. There are no funded services for the severely mentally ill in MOCO. Get out of MOCO as soon as you can. The taxes we pay here are not worth the poor services families are subjected to.

If I can give 0 stars I would. Staff here is very rude, they are not empathetic, their only answer is "find a therapist". If I am in my worst moment, I just need to talk to someone that is it. Instead of helping you, they make you feel judged.
