Rockville Pike SafeSplash is absolutely fantastic! The staff is not only friendly but also deeply committed to helping you achieve your swimming goals. With a wide range of classes to choose from, there's something for everyone. I recommend this swim school to anyone looking to improve their swimming skills. Five stars all the way!

We started swimming class with SafeSplash on Rockville MD location for my 7 years old daughter. She developed her swim skill perfectly with the safeSplash swim teachers. We will continue with this professional swimming class.

We have had 4 swim lessons here for our 4 year old son so far and plan to continue. The lessons are one-on-one/private lessons for 30 minutes weekly. So far our son loves it. He's seen Robert and Kennedy both instructors have been patient, kind, and fun with our son. I look forward to seeing his progress so far it's been a great experience!

Great swim school with great instructors. Especially good for adults. Andrew was my instructor and he helped accomplish my goals the last few months. I felt comfortable the whole way and learned all the strokes. I made a lot of progress in just two months and will continue next winter. I would say even if you have 1 month or 2 to give it shot and you can at least learn the basics of elementary back stroke and basic water safety through their instructors.

Sub-par pool, constantly changing instructors, and ridiculous rescheduling and subscription policies. Our son who has special needs really enjoyed the time in the pool but didn't learn very much because he worked with at least 6 different instructors who didn't communicate with each other. I also had a bad experience with the owners.

I am an adult student (35yrs old) taking private lessons with SafeSplash. I never learned to swim when I was younger and I was nervous/embarrassed to start the swimming journey. My first class with SafeSplash started in September and now in November I am swimming! I am overjoyed by my progress. My instructor (Niyala) has been absolutely amazingly kind, patient, informative, and supportive. Niyala was a huge part of my success. The owner, Michael, has been so helpful and accommodating. As an adult swimmer, my work schedule has been conflicting at times, but he has stepped in to help me find alternative days/times. I definitely recommend SafeSplash, especially for adult students. It is never too late to learn and it is a joy to see the children students learning alongside me.

This is a disappointing review to have to write. My child's experience with Safe Splash Swim School (franchise owned by Michael and Jennifer Lilintahl) in Rockville, Md, started in 2017 as a somewhat good one. We started and stopped my son's swim lessons a couple of times over the years. The lessons themselves, instructors, etc, were about average. The customer service (billing etc) was below par; at least one mistake was made, where my credit card was charged when it was supposed to be my husband's card being charged, and it took a week to correct that. So there were a few missteps, but we stuck with it.In the midst of his late 2019/early 2020 lessons, the Pandemic hit, forcing closures of Safe Splash and a break from our child's lessons. We were informed our pre-paid classes would be honored at a later date.14 months later, in May 2021, I called to reschedule our son's swim lessons. We had paid for 3 half-hour classes that had not been used because of the Pandemic. I am a chronically ill parent and waited until I was fully vaccinated and my community in-general was safe before I called to reschedule my child's lessons.I had to make at least 5 calls to Safe Splash to explain and re-explain that we had fully paid for 3 half-hr group lessons for my son. I was told my credits were only supposed to be honored for a year. I explained that in March 2021, my community was still dealing with closures and a worldwide Pandemic--even most schools were only returning at 50% capacity, libraries were not yet opened, everyone was still fully masked, etc--so I had waited until May to call and reschedule our lessons. I assumed this business would do the right thing and honor the classes we had paid for a year ago.Let me add: When Safe Splash closed their doors for a year, I easily could have just demanded a full refund. I didn't. I TRUSTED this company with my money. I TRUSTED they would reopen eventually and honor my credits. I allowed my money to stay with them, assuming my son would get his 3 classes eventually. That didn't happen.I was at first denied any honoring of my paid-for classes at all. I had to insist on some form of restitution. I was then told, after days of waiting, that I would be offered ONE half-hr swim lesson instead of three, but that it was of "equal value" and "the same" since it was a "private" lesson. That is not true. One half-hr class is NOT the same as THREE, even if that one is with a private instructor. Here's why:1.) I paid for my child to be in a group. That means I paid for him to watch other children swim, learn from them, and socialize with them while learning. He can't do that in a private lesson.2.) I paid for THREE 30 min classes. Not one. So it's NOT equivalent, time-wise.3.) My child won't be showing up, suiting up, getting in the water and out of the water, and experiencing that routine three different times. Getting in and out of the water and following that routine one time is not the same as three times.4.) My child will only be spending 30 mins in the water. Not 90 mins, which is what I paid for. I paid for my son to get wet three times, not once. I paid for him to swim for 90 mins with other kids, not 30 mins all alone. Big difference.Eventually, I was informed that what I had paid for--3 half-hr classes--would be honored after all. Then I was called back and told it would not be. I was frustrated, angry and frankly disgusted. I paid for these classes, and a Pandemic hit. When it was safe and my family was vaccinated, I immediately called to get the classes we had already paid for going again. We likely would have continued on for more classes after that. After 5 or 6 total calls, I was still being told they did not want to honor this. I was also informed that my money had been used to pay the instructor's salaries while Safe Splash was closed, therefore I never really had a refund coming, because they had already spent my money! Had I known that was going to happen, I would've asked for my ri

My son took lessons from Ms. Thais at the SafeSplash and he went from being afraid of water to comfortably floating on his own and swimming with minimal dependency on floatation device over a course of 4-5 months. I really liked the fact that the group moves up to higher levels together with the same teacher, which I thought developed a good coach-student bonding/trust and consistency. The owner of this school, Michael is also great! He was always available for questions and addressed any concerns we had. We are taking a small break right now but my son keeps on asking when he could restart. We will definitely return during the next warmer season!!
