Save yourself some time and grief and do not go to this Sally Beauty!! My husband and I went there to buy trimmers. When we got home the trimmers had clearly been used with hairs in between the teeth. When we returned within the hour, the three ladies working there were rude, not helpful, and tried to convince us it would be imposible for the trimmers to have been used. We did end up getting a refund. But worst of all, we saw them "clean" the clippers and I got the feeling they were planning to put them back out for sale!! Don't go here if you can help it.

Aug 2022 - Dec 2022: I live in Montgomery Co MD where merchants charge 5 cents for a bag so I brought my returns back in a small gift bag. I went to the aisle to get the hair color I wanted to exchange my returns for and a young sales girl followed me and watched me. I'm African American so this made me very uncomfortable so I left the aisle and met her at the counter. I took my merch out of the bag and showed it to her & I left it there with her and got what I needed. The next issue I had was that I had a receipt for one Ion hair color but I didn't have a receipt for the other Ion hair color which may have been purchased on a gift card b/c it didn't register on either of my credit cards. The sales girl refused to allow me to exchange it. I asked her name but she refused to tell me. I called customer service and the CSR told the sales clerk the return policy which was to give me store credit but she still refused! I asked for a manager who also refused to give me her name. Nobody wore name tags! The mgr refused to let me exchange the product or give me store credit per their own policy! I left the store and called Sally's HQ again. An escalation person called me a few days later & said that a district field mgr. would contact me. No one did. From Aug-Nov, 2022 I contacted Sally's HG via phone & email to report possible discrimination & my unresolved but no one followed up with me. On Nov 29, '22, I called HQ again & and spoke to another escalation team lady who apologized for dropping the ball. She had a field mgr. call me the same day who offered to give me 100% refund but that I'd have to go to another store out of my area. I asked her for a coupon for the inconvenience but she said she couldn't do much. I texted her back & told her that she could offer coupons, giveaways, or discounts as a field mgr. but she didn't respond. I can't express fully how disappointed I am with the service I received at the Rockville location as with the district manager for that location. I feel violated. NEXT: CONSUMER RELATIONS for guidance.

I have been going to Sally’s for over 20 years and this store by far has the worst customer service of all I have ever been to. I think the Spanish staff that works here only caters to you if you’re white because I’m also Spanish and the lady gave me such an ugly attitude for no apparent reason. The fact that I asked her a question and she didn’t even open her mouth to respond is completely messed up. Also the entire store smelled like a septic tank which is absolutely disgusting. PSA if you aren’t white expect to be followed around the entire store so you don’t “steal” anything.

The Bethesda store doesn’t carry African American products or hair. This location lacks people and customer service skills. No eye contact and was very rude when I inquired about the difference in the hair and products they provided just a couple of years ago. I have patronized sally beauty supply stores nationwide and always recommend online and in store Customer service along with a variety of products for all hair types. What a disappointment here at home. I’ll be sure to share this experience. Customers keep this business open.

Extemely helpful staff! Immediately asked me if I needed any help and throughly helped me find the products I was looking for and also explained the process and products I needed to bleach my hair, genuinely the best help I have ever received when asking about how to dye/bleach my hair

This location is ok. Parking sucks, it's best to park by the old CHUYS. They carry my essentials for my hair emergencies. They carry their private label of shampoo and conditioners that are similar to Paul Mitchell. I guess with the whole global supply fiasco they are not fully stock. Help is ok. There was one woman working in the store, and was unable to help due to language barriers. Sign up for their rewards to get awesome rewards!

Just left the store and had to cancel my transaction because this was the 3rd time in 6 months the store didn't have bags and when I asked for a bag I was just looked at funny. They waited till I was rung up to tell me. As I expressed my frustration the staff just looked at me and didn't say anything. This store is so unorganized awalys limited stock and staff just rude! Management do better. This was my last time shopping at this location

I didn't find exactly what i was looking for (fabric masks/vanity type) but I settled for the box of disposable masks which were also reasonable. The store was neat otherwise and the employees were so kind.

I went into the store with my boyfriend just to look around at some hair products when we noticed a manger following us around the store as if we were stealing I was extremely disappointed because I never had that experience before at this Sally’s . I dislike the new manager an her attitude . The other store associate was very kind an understanding but there definitely needs to be a change in management especially if your going to follow a paying customer around .

The person working there was incredibly nice and helpful. I was getting hair dye and they helped me get everything I needed. They even helped me understand the measurements I would need to use. Highly recommend.
