I’m on auto delivery which means gas is supposed to be delivered regularly. In the past 4 years we have run out of gas 3 times.

I paid to have my propane tank topped off whenever they are in neighborhood and being charge 600 to 700 dollars after 1 month of filling tank to 80 percent. I called to talk to manager or supervisor and no one ever calls back. I schedule a week in advance to have tank filled and told the agent that tank was at 30 percent I was schedule for a Thursday delivery but the guy came on wednesday hooked up to my tank for 20 minutes and put nothing in tank where as my tank was still 25 percent in which I took pictures and my security camera has the guy hooking to tank. Then I guy comes Thursday Ifills the tank and Im hit with a 1300 bill, I sent customer service a picture of tank and heard nothing back. There is so sneaky stuff going with drivers trying to hit me up for somebody else tank and making me pay for it, my bill only runs around 600 to 700 dollars every 3 months, customer service is terrible, management horrible, and Im looking to replace them and do not reccomend them to know one. I have been customer for only 3 years and only used them because of builders suggestion.

Failed to deliver propane and charge me a minimum fee of $120 claiming my tank was full? When I checked the tank it was only 60% full so ask them to come & fill the tank but they refuse until I pay the fee. This company is only interested in money and customer service is terrible. After twenty years of being a royal customer I am taking my business elsewhere. It is no longer a customer friendly business like it once was.

Absolutely horrendous, abrasive service. Responsible for delaying my project a month, costing thousands in carrying costs. Complained up the chain, no corrective action taken, asked for them to remove the existing tank and cancel everything and they charged me hundreds of dollars to do so. And I was an existing customer. I would avoid this company at all costs, garbage. Mike, Brody, and Dave, you completely failed me as a customer, you didn’t take the time to understand the problem from the customers perspective and you didn’t get the job done. Then you charged me for not accomplishing anything. I’ve had about 4 grand in carrying costs since 10/10/23 and suburban propane is responsible for this.

Why would your technician hand me an electronic tablet to sign without making me aware of the hidden notice that 1. I’ve been advised what to do if I smell propane gas, 2. That I know how to operate the gas fireplace, and more; all untrue.

Worst propane experience EVER. New construction home build and they installed a tank, with a leak. Then blamed us for using through all the propane, while still acknowledging that a leak existed, saying they had "seen the size of our furnace and we could definitely use that much propane" in just a couple months. Then fixed the leak, gave us a credit (not nearly for the amount of propane lost). We decided to go with another propane provider who needed to inspect our tank and the tank had a leak! This is within months of the other leak, so we had Suburban fix the leak and just decided to have them fill the tank. Now, we haven't needed propane for almost 2 years (even though they knew our furnace could use a whole tank of propane in just a few months)! We thought we should get some propane during summer, before the winter rush (even though we still have a fair amount left in the tank) and our account has expired because we haven't needed propane in so long. Suburban has said we need to pay to have them inspect the tank because our account expired, even though they were the last people to fill and/or touch the tank. Will never use this company again and do not recommend them to anyone unless you want headaches.

I'm just compelled to write this review to let you know how disappointing my first (and probably last visit) was to your facility.I looked up on Google propane and found Suburban Propane in Rockville. I called to see if consumers could come and how the system works.I was told it was about $3+ per gallon and you don't offer exchanges, just fills.The most disappointing part was the $5 labor charge and that on Thursdays you waive that, which of course I didn't know. (these are full-time employees of yours)As a first time customer, any company would have waived that for me (showing up on a Monday) but would've been an incentive for me to come back.At the end of the visit I paid more than $23 on one tank which is more than I could've paid any ANY propane tank excahnge - Blue Rhino, etc.This is not a place I can use or recommend to anyone.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! My first time there. Brody help me with a minor problem I had with the tank for my grill. He and the office staff could not have been nicer. Professional. Efficient. I will no longer go to Lowe’s or anywhere else to get my tank replaced. I’ll just return to Suburban to have it refilled. Highly recommend !!!!!

Suburban propane will screw you in terms of what they charge per gallon. I didn't know they were overcharging me at $4.29 per gallon on propane when I got it filled by a competing Thompson Gas for $1.82 for the same propane. Both my bills are attached. These guys are crooks!

the WORST, MOST UNETHICAL and UNPROFESSIONAL company in my opinion. These guys just lied to me on multiple occasions over the phone..the office manager Cindy and Steve Case are very ill mannered people - WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this company. Find someone more professional - and with more class.

this company engaged in fraud and deceptive business practices in my case i believe. I scheduled to have tank filled up b/c it was critically low. Emphasized it repeatedly - they took my credit card, sent their rep, who DID NOT fill tank, yet they charges me for services they never delivered. AVOID - WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND.
