If this app allowed negative ratings, that’s exactly what I would give this store. My experience today was the perfect example of everything that is currently broken about customer service—and frankly, basic professionalism.
Customer service here is nonexistent. The employees, along with the so-called manager, Katlyn (or however it’s spelled), have absolutely no business working in a customer-facing role. The store was packed with employees—nearly one per aisle—who all appeared very busy doing everything except helping customers.
While shopping for a propane heater and accessories, I entered the only aisle in the store that carries those items. At the end of the aisle stood a rude, blue-haired employee with a service animal, chatting with another employee. She clearly wanted to take a photo of something in the aisle and was openly making comments such as, “Hurry up, customer,” “Just leave already,” and “I don’t want him in the picture.”
I don’t know—or care—whether this was for personal use or a work task. Either way, I am a paying customer actively shopping, and those remarks were completely unacceptable. They are a direct reflection of poor leadership and a total lack of accountability from management.
As I continued shopping, the same employee stepped directly into the aisle with me, refused to make eye contact, and stood squarely in front of the propane accessories I was trying to view. She then pulled her phone out and took a photo. At that point, I had enough and addressed the behavior. She offered no explanation or apology—just stared at her shoes in silence.
It’s absurd that someone who requires workplace accommodations, yet cannot speak to customers respectfully or refrain from actively blocking purchases, would behave so condescendingly. Having a disability does not give anyone a free pass to be rude or hostile. Courtesy goes both ways.
At checkout, I asked to speak with a manager. During the 3–5 minutes it took for Katlyn to appear, another employee repeatedly walked back and forth between an empty aisle and the end cap, staring at me. She then brought over a third employee, and the two of them stood there pointing and talking about me. This was some of the most disrespectful behavior I’ve ever experienced in a retail environment.
When the manager finally arrived, I calmly explained what had happened—while her employees continued to antagonize me. Her response was to completely dismiss my concerns with a curt “Thank you, sir, I’ll talk to them,” before turning her back on me and calling another customer over to check out. No apology. No accountability. No professionalism.
I asked for a manager’s contact or escalation path and was given nothing. I then called Tractor Supply’s corporate 800 number and sat on hold for 45 minutes. I’m still waiting for the callback their automated system promised.
To make matters worse, when I got home, I discovered the “brand new” heater I purchased had clearly been stripped for parts—no installation hardware, no feet, no instruction manual, and no igniter. Completely unacceptable.
This entire experience has made Tractor Supply a business I will not spend another dollar at. I receive better customer service from Amazon, which says a lot. The audacity of this staff is unbelievable. I genuinely felt bullied by store employees and treated as an inconvenience simply for being a customer.
No one should be made to feel that way. Do better

Dump of a store. Worst stocked tractor supply store I've ever been to. Long lines with one person checking you out. No effort to speed things up. They couldn't care less, so you shouldn't care about this pit.

Great selection of items and decent prices for outdoor needs. Unfortunately, they don't sell clay pigeons. :(

This store is notoriously unreliable when it comes to having propane for refill especially on the weekend. The one in glen burnie is always on top of getting propane in. Customer service is great but inventory ordering skills are very poor. Get it together tractor supply.

I have never been to this store, but I ordered a large piece of equipment to be delivered. I spoke with Will to make these arrangements. He was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. There was a piece missing that I did not catch until the next day. I called Will and he immediately called the delivery company to see if they had it. The driver had taken it off to prevent loss during transport and forgot to leave it. He made the trip to my home to deliver it. I hope to make the drive to this TSC soon. Thank you Will!

I brought some game bird starter feed which is infested with grain mites. I was brooding my birds indoors for 3 weeks before I figured out they were there. So now I’m sure I have mites inside my house now.

Thank goodness for Katelyn!!! She's amazing! Best employee you have. She got my cattle panels on my truck easily whenever two other male employees said it wasn't possible! Give that girl a raise!

Went to use the pet wash today. Not worth the money. No towels. No apron. The hook in the wash tub was broken but a nice guy heard me and found a solution. I asked for an apron. He never came back. After washing my border collie I reached for the conditioner to find it empty. The whole reason we were there was to get his undercoat out which you can't do without the rinse. There were four slicker brushes. 3 of which had matted dried hair in them so I used the 4th. When I got there the gal up front told me there were no towels so I went to my car and found one. I used the dryer just a little because it scared him. He's was an abused rescue so he was at his limit but I got enough water off him then used the towel and left with a soaking wet dog that still has matted hair in his skirts. The gal up front said I should bring a bag with my own supplies in it each time! So what am I paying for? NOT as advertised!

Pet wash station closed for remodeling. No mention of that anywhere in the website or store
