Pemberton Historical Park is a hidden gem in Salisbury that offers well‑maintained trails winding through woods and along water. Lookout points with benches let visitors enjoy the sounds and view of nature. A historic home on the grounds features a visible kitchen and a white wooden box said to be a torture box from slavery days, adding interesting lore. Picnic areas are available for bringing food or grilling. The park is family‑friendly, dogs welcome, and events on some weekends make visits even more fun. Birdwatching, hiking, and quiet contemplation are popular activities. The trails are wonderfully kept, and the park feels peaceful and beautiful. Many visitors spend whole afternoons here, enjoying nature and the historic setting.
Great trails for people who want to hike or run. Awesome overlook on Wicomico River. Can get a little lost based on the signs, but Google Maps shows the trails.

Had great mushroom foraging field trip along these trails on Saturday. Well maintained and found edible mushrooms learned in our class.

Nice. The downside in the summer is mosquitoes but that can be anywhere else too it seems.
