Hello! I had an appt in December in Salisbury. Apparently the appt was cancelled, but I had not been contacted or rescheduled (something about an employee who had left PEC). BUT, the admin/eye care support staff made it right and got me in. Thank you! Then, I had an issue when I went back. BUT, Darlene made it right. She was extremely helpful, and I truly appreciated her support and focus on my situation. Thank you, DARLENE, for your customer focus. PEC is lucky to have you on staff!

Oh wow, I used to despise having to get new glasses. I'd rather stick a pin in my eye, or buy a new car. Frank, the Optical Manager took complete control of making this work for me!

Do not work here. I was hired on the 9th and let go on the 27th. Training is not consistent at all during my short time there I was put with at least 5 people. And sent to 4 different locations all with different eye machines that work differently. As a result 5 different people teaching things 5 different ways would confuse anyone especially if your new to the field entirely. Although all the technicians were very nice but because of the work load I felt like I was in the way. Often time I could not find the person I was assigned to because they were busy trying to get patients out instead of having the freedom to train a new hire properly. I was told to get use to the emr layout and enter things as she was doing the exams and that's what I did because who is going to go against what the trainer says when they are new. Big mistake because in the end upper management told me I was not trying hard enough to learn the job. Even after I told them that I was doing what I was told to do they did not care. I literally left a job for this job only to be told that in less then 14 business days that I am not a good fit because I did what my trainer told me to do. Do not apply for a job here they rather let you go then train you correctly. It's been my experience that when jobs have high turn over rates like this the problem is management.. because it's no way that everyone not a good fit. And how would you know and the person has worked for you not even 3 weeks. I should have never left my job for this one and I regret it. Don't work for people who operate like this. 5 different people training that 5 different ways of doing things 4 different locations and you honestly expected a person with no eye care experience to not be confused . Don't waste your time

My spouse had cataract surgery in May. They made us pay what they felt our obligation would be. This included the full cost of the replacement lenses, because even though our insurance company said they would be covered Peninsula said they would not be covered. So sitting there the day of the surgery they made us pay $5000 before the procedure because they claimed that is what insurance said we would need to pay. we received all of the paperwork from the insurance company a month or so later. Well to our surprise our portion of the bill should have been $1000 less than what Peninsula made us pay! They also turned the one lense in to the insurance and it was covered!!!!!!!!!We have been trying since May to get the refund they promised us and they refuse to reimburse us saying that they have not heard from the insurance company yet. Funny I made one phone call and had the information but the same afternoon. I give them the information and now they say they must get it directly from the insurance company! When I spoke to the insurance company the said the information was sent to Peninsula back in May!These people are thieves! run dont walk!!!!!!!

Dr McDermott was very nice and gave me more information today regarding cataract surgery so I feel very confident about it.

Doctors are more than competent. However the infrastructure of the office is lacking. Patient portal does not work. Any message I have left for my physician through the patient portal has not been answered.Phone system is confusing and phones are often not answered. Surgical schedule can quickly change without notice. Patient wait times can be very long.

They performed the most extensive eye exam I have ever had. I was on vacation and had an eye injury and they got me in right away and gave me excellent care. If I lived closer they would be my permanent eye dr.Highly recommended

Friendly and helpful. A family member is a patient here and the practice helped me out in a pinch while I was visiting. Greatly appreciated!

the managers & Doctor Clifford treat techs poorly and overheard them while waiting for my friend to be seen, telling the techs that they are toxic and belittling their work and telling them to be less confident. I am a manager for a business in Maryland, and I don't treat employees this way! There are correct ways to handle situations. Only toxic parts are doctor Clifford and office managers! If you don't like your job and want to belittle your staff, find a new job. Someone needs to bully them! Will be filing a formal complaint with the physician board!

I had my appointment this afternoon with Dr. Darcey. I came 15 minutes before my time and they called me back within 5 minutes. The front desk receptionist was nice and greeted me with a smile. My eye technician Ellie was super sweet and very professional at performing my eye exam. Dr. Darcey was very knowledgeable and through at explaining my eye problems. I left with my updated prescription and he even ordered my contacts for me. I highly recommend this office for your eye exams.

I’m giving a rating of one star because I don’t have any complaints about the doctor’s knowledge or personality. I do, however, have a problem with the wait time. My sister’s appointment was for 2:30. We arrived 15 minutes early as instructed. The young ladies took my sister back and did all the preliminary testing that needed to be done. Two hours later we were still waiting for the doctor. When he did arrive, he answered all our questions within 15 minutes and left, which is wonderful. But waiting for two hours is totally unacceptable. If this were my appointment I would go elsewhere. Since it’s my sister’s appointment I don’t have any choice but to wait, but next time I’ll take a book and snack, maybe a blank and pillow. This is not right.

Only one star because I can’t give them 0. This place is the most disorganized clown show I’ve ever seen and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Multiple times reception has given me the wrong locations of appointment. Billing didn’t even bother to bill my insurance without me requesting after receiving a bill in the mail. Dr. Kevin Darcy has repeatedly given me the wrong prescription. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 7 and have NEVER had so many problems. Save yourself the headache and time and go literally anywhere else.

The worst office I've ever been too, never received contacts that are actually right for my eyes. Called a few times to get a replacement set and was told by the Dr maybe I need to be seen. No, that wasn't the issue. I would never recommend this office

Went the first time and the doctor was not in. The said they tried several times to call and leave a message. Got home 1 call no message. The second time was today got there and they told me they do not take my insurance. When I made the appointment the said they took my insurance. I had to travel from long neck Delaware to their office. 1 1/2 hour each way. Does anyone in the office know what they are doing.
