Main St. in Mt. Airy, it has been woman-owned for 15 years and also has a location at Historic Savage Mill. The cozy space is warm and inviting, with great customer service. Visitors can browse, chat, and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, often bringing pets along. While the selection may sometimes be limited, many find it a charming spot to discover books, bookmarks, stuffed animals, and other cute items. Perfect for a relaxing visit, The Last Word stands out as a lovely local shop with helpful staff and a comfortable environment.
Very cute space and great prices, but the selection leaves some to be desired. Drop in if you're already here but don't drive over just to visit this bookstore.

A beautiful bookstore with great people who are very friendly and helpful. I'm not into bookstores, but this bookstore stands out from the rest.
