twice now I've been harmed by their self checkout and apathetic customer service. If you're not ok with that kind of treatment then driving the extra 1 to 10 miles to a consumer friendly store is probably faster than waiting for help after the self checkout tries to over charge you. The first time I just took the gouge for the sake of time but I was aware that they're horrible so when my $1.29 green onions rung as $4 something I hit the button to seek help and started trying to find the right green onions in their poorly designed UI. The kid who i believe was there to help walked right past me as I struggled and chatted with a friend. I would've gone through the regular checkout but like most places they only have one cashier and this one had multiple people with big full carts. I get it if you're too poor to have employees do work that machines sometimes can but when you do have employees and they ignore or disrespect me then it's aggravating

Wish their prices were a little better. And I felt dumb when we were trying to figure out how to check out. You have to give the cashier your cart and then walk around to the front.

Make sure if you shop here you check the expiration dates on all of your products before purchasing!! I purchased this cream cheese a few days ago for my son and the best by date was 3 MONTHS ago! I spoke with the manager Brian who gave me a refund and a new one but it was such an inconvenience because I live 25 minutes away from this location and I had to waste gas to drive all the way back. People shop here trusting that the items they purchase are of good quality and that’s not the case here. People could become severely ill consuming 3 month old products. This store needs to work on making sure there are no expired products on their shelves!

Decent selection, with a staff that's nice. The store stays pretty clean and the waits usually aren't bad.
However, costs are higher than decent competitors like Safeway and Giant, the Asian Bar is rarely open until 7 like it claims , and they lack SodaStream. Comparing the store signature items, there's better options elsewhere. When the primary function of a grocery store is to just be a place to buy things, having it priced higher and lacking options really isn't good. I'm sure some people have a good reason to like it, but for me, I'd only come here out of convenience and the Asian Bar, and the latter is very hit or miss.

I only went in for dry ice but the store is clean and the man who helped me was very kind . I enjoyed my visit so I will be going back

pharmacy hour are wrong....they are closed, though the website says they are open to 10pm. Probably those are the store hours. Please make this clearer. Thanks! I'll change my rating when you do! It will help your customers!

A beautiful store with products on display very nicely. The staff was very helpful and I was surprised to know that they packed my groceries in paper bags.

One of the reasons Harris Teeter is great in my estimation is because they're one of the few places left that have a full salad bar. Another reason is plenty of checkers who bag your items. Employees will always stop to help you when asked. Even if you don't ask if they see you wandering around with a questioning look on your face they will stop you and ask you if you need assistance. This kind of customer Service was normal 30 years ago and I'm glad there is one place that still puts the customer first these days. And they aren't charging me anymore for this good service. So that's why I choose to shop here.

The folks working there are surprisingly nice to work with. This location is always clean. The power of choice is compromised by store sizing and a lot of in house food labels. The fish market has improved significantly. The butcher- nice folks- and the meat department is super helpful and look out for the weekly specials like 1 1/2 inch t-bones for $9.99 lbs is great. Fruits and veggies are fresh and well maintained. Maybe the bakery department could kick up breads a notch

Worst Deli east of the Mississippi. If you're looking for a complete one-stop grocery store that includes a good deli, look elsewhere. I stopped by there today at 2:15 PM (12/11/23) to buy some sliced meats. There were 4-5 people laughing and cleaning equipment, moving stuff around, etc. They looked at me and just kept doing what they were before I walked up. Finally, a short woman with brown hair who was wearing a set of fake fuzzy antlers came to the counter and said, "no one's working here right now". I don't know if they were having a Christmas party or what, but I was stunned - whoever heard of a deli just closing in the early afternoon and turning customers away? Amazing! I walked away. Now the meat and seafood departments at this store are very friendly and responsive to their customers. But the deli is so bad that we've returned to Green Valley as our primary grocery store, even though we can ride a bicycle to Harris-Teeter and Green Valley is about 3 miles away. Seriously HT, just close the deli before you lose more customers. We've complained to the management 3 or 4 times, to no avail. The deli seems to be where they send lower-rated employees as punishment.

The grocery store is ok...nothing spectacular or extremely different from any other grocery store. I was disappointed when I ordered deli turkey and cheese from the deli section. Disappointed because the lady who took my order and sliced my deli orders, packaged my food poorly....very poorly. Nice attitude but poor packing service, for sure.
