We come here just about every weekend with our dog. My wife loves to pick out new plants and I get to pick out toys and treats for my dog. Everyone here is always so friendly and helpful, and they're always adding new things throughout while somehow managing to keep the entire place look organized despite all the constant changes. Having a coffee shop next-door is always a huge plus as well.

I decided to have my shears sharpened on Monday by the mobile sharpener that parks in the homestead gardens parking lot on Monday. To kill time I thought it would be nice to browse inside. I was debating getting some plants and soil at first but after the experience I had I decided against it. As soon as I got to browse the plant section I was followed around by a employee for the entire time. I thought maybe she would ask if I needed help but that wasn't the case. Every time I picked up a plant or thought hmm maybe this would be nice she was right there pretending to be doing something but watching me the entire time. You think she would be less obvious about it but anywhere I went she was sure to follow. If you want to feel like your labeled as a thief make sure to come here. Definitely made me feel uncomfortable and I decided to just leave at that point and felt really sad about it cause I think this place has alot to offer and I never had a experience like that until today.

This garden shop has everything you could need to make your home beautiful inside and out. So many cute garden items, pots, planters, seeds, garden decor, bulbs, and indoor and outdoor plants. If you're a plant lover, this is your place. There was a class going on about raising chickens while we were there. It's also pet friendly!
Next door is Rise up coffee, grab a coffee and start your shopping. A friend and I browsed for some funky plant decor and air plants. They also have cute Maryland themed decor and gifts, coastal decor, and pet items.

PLANT HOARDERS UNITE. Homestead Gardens has shelfed new plant orphans that need adopting! So many different varietals this time around too! Different succulents, standalone plants, potted plants and hanging plants to pick from. They even have a new area of potting and fairy yard creating--Absolutely adorable.

Gorgeous greenhouse, so beautifully decorated with colorful plants and flowers! I felt like I was transported to the botanical gardens! The artwork selection is also fantastic.
