I’ve never had a more frustrating experience with a mechanic. While the older gentleman working there is respectful and clearly knows what he's doing, he doesn’t speak English — which unfortunately puts everything in the hands of a younger Asian guy who handles most of the communication and control at the shop.This younger mechanic was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. When I asked for a clear explanation of what was wrong with my car, he literally told me to “Google it” instead of explaining — which is completely unacceptable. On top of that, his diagnosis was completely wrong, and I nearly lost $4,500 because of it. Thankfully I got a second opinion before authorizing any repairs.I truly respect the older man’s work ethic and skill, but the customer service here — driven by that one individual — was enough for me to say I won’t be coming back, and I don’t recommend this shop

Do NOT purchase gas here. I bought regular gas as typical for my car, and had a cylinder in my engine misfire because of the poor quality gas. My car broke down and I had to pull over to the side of the highway, resulting in a $200 fix to get my misfired cylinder replaced. Do NOT buy gas here. You will only get cheap quality that will seriously damage your vehicle. I would rate zero stars if I could. I will never go to a BP again, and neither should you.

A fine place to get gas--or diesel--while on your trip through the area. A mechanic is available to perform work on your vehicle, or perform a State inspection.There are also plenty of tobacco and caffeine products. Lotto. Bones pills. Motor oil and fluids.No postcards available

I had an outstanding experience with Carlos - a skilled mechanic who fixed the dead TCM in my Ford Focus. He sourced an alternative part to avoid a min 4 month wait with Ford and handled the install and programming flawlessly for a very reasonable price. Knowledgeable and honest, I highly recommend his exceptional service.

I recently came into possession of a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. I asked around to see who in my area does MD State Safety Inspections. I was referred to Carlos at Forest Glen BP by several local mechanics who aren’t setup to do state safety inspections. After talking to Carlos, he told me to bring it in the following Tuesday. So I dropped it off early on Tuesday and was surprised that the inspection was completed by 11:00am. It needed several things and Carlos found them all and explained what it needed. He’s fair and very thorough. After the repairs were completed I was presented with a safety inspection certificate stating that the truck had passed. I would not hesitate to take another car to this shop for safety inspection or for any other mechanical work. Great experience and so glad to have such a good shop in my neighborhood.

I was driving back from Whitetail Mountain during an ice storm and hit a massive puddle on 270 in my BMW 328. The car drove home fine but then the next day I realized I couldn’t make right turns without a horrible noise. I’ve lived near this BP for years and it’s never had a good reputation for mechanics but that’s all changed after I met Carlos. He started here four years ago and I can’t thank him enough for what he did to work on the differential, axle, and transfer case. He went out of his way and didn’t charge me so he could figure out exactly what was wrong with it instead of just replacing the whole thing and costing me $10,000 at the dealer. I think I might’ve got a bill for $3000 but it literally save me $7000 because he is the kind of mechanic that knows more than a dealer and actually takes things apart And fixes the problem instead of throwing things away and charging you more for a total replacement. I hate to write this review because it means Carlos isn’t going to be just my guy anymore but I hope others can give him business because he really deserves a lot of respect for what he does. Very hard to find people like Carlos
