Can someone help me understand. I received a paycheck from my employer because I’m waiting for direct deposit to start. Since Citi bank is on my pay check I came here to cash my check, the young female without a name tag told me she cannot cash the check because she cannot verify my check or get it touch with my employer to verify I work there. I have never had such an experience and will never come here again. very unprofessional.I will never recommend this bank to anyone I know.

Citibank is legitimately terrible these days. We opened our business account with them in 2011, and I've been regretting banking with them since roughly 2015.Their customer service people are either so poorly trained they cannot do the work, or they are malicious liars. In addition, trying to get customer service on the line is a horrorshow of idiotic phone maze, specifically designed to discourage account holders from using it. And that is BEFORE the heavily accented customer representative comes on the line, with phone equipment so pathetically poor that the noise in their call center is louder than the heavily accented voice of the customer service rep.In about 2015, Citibank closed our branch, and then they seem to have fired all the competent customer service people, in favor of offshore call centers. I am trying to close the account, and I've spent the last two weeks receiving conflicting lies or misunderstandings of how bloody long it's going to take to get my data.I despise Citibank and look forward to closing our business account. And we are also on the verge of closing my husband's personal account, and his credit card, too.This is how pathetically inept Citibank is: several times we've tried to order checks through their website. Nope. We have had to go to the producer of the checks and order through them to have a prayer of getting new checks.I would not have trusted them with $2 bucks, much less our business account, if we'd only known how disastrously incompetent they really are.DO NOT BANK WITH THEM IF YOU WISH TO REMAIN SANE. I would give them zero stars if that were possible.

I now know why Citi has been fined tens of billions since the financial crash. Please read the fine print; it applies to you, not them. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a bank, but the worst part was the realization that no one cared how I felt.

we have not been thrilled with Citibank in the fifteen plus years that we have had an account there, but atm location was convenient. Realized too late that they are charging us $25 a month because we didn't keep $10,000 in it. When I called to say that we had only ever agreed to the $1500 plan, they said they could do nothing about it b/c I hadn't caught the error earlier! The supervisor could have cared less and was not professional or helpful. They have been taking our money for 2 years and have no qualms about it. We are closing that account today.

The people here are very kind and helpful. I quickly and easily opened a savings account and had great conversations with the workers. Definitely recommend coming here!

This review is for Issa, who *was one of the employees behind a desk in Columbia Heights. He spent 1.5 hours walking me through my complex situation and was a complete professional. Unfortunately, he is moving to the Silver Spring branch but I wanted to recognize the assistance he provided and say they are lucky to have him.

The Latino supervisor with shoulder length hair is a dicktard. Enough said. Lied to us when he stated we could third-party cash a Citibank check if we where citibank customers. I opened an account but then he baited and switched like a self-fingerer and said the account was too new. This place conducted business completely contrary to the policy and procedures i read on their website!!!!! Interest rate too low and monthly maintenance fee is too high and predatory. Citibank is in my rearview, dude. 0 stars. 1 star is only for the teller. Those that are showing four stars are relatives, friends, and employees of other branches of this company. Dont be fooled!

Just I left from this place. I am so sad. I have a problem, my English is not good. And so many things I cannot explain and understand, what I need. It's not nice when you don't understand something, somebody laughing on you. One supervisor ( spanic man) he was so rude with me, when he saw me, I needed just ask something. Anyway.. You need to be nice with a people.,it doesn't matter how is my English.

This is a place I am not very fond of . It's called CitiBank . It has a ATm On the outside but needs better security than just cameras to prevent crimes . It has 6-8 teller windows and 3 desks for management to help customers in need . I had an experience when I once worked with UPS to get my checks done and they were uncooperative because they said I needed more that 3 different id's and so on and the managers were not cooperative at all either , When the Checks were done through UPS By Citibank itself . The customer service was terrible and and the hospitality was attrocious . Plus when helping customers too they can't guarantee against identity theft and more to make sure their computers cannot ever be hacked by anyone . When I had an experience there it was a complete waste of time . I do not plan to ever go back again .

Run! This bank is just terrible no wonder there's like two branches left. The stuff is always lost, don't know what to do...and they can be in the middle of helping you and would start helping someone else and make you wait like your time isn't important...terrible terrible service....

I've been banking with citi bank for over 8 years. One day they decided to take all the money out of my business account without telling me and for no reason. They timed it perfectly. It happened right before I gave my 22 employees their paychecks. My employees were overjoyed to hear me say its not my fault, it was my bank. Not to mention my credit cards froze, all my electronic payments stopped working and I was charged fees all over the place. The workers inside the location of the bank were doing their best to try to fix the situation as fast as possible, but it still took a few days before I had a penny in my business account. Have you ever tried to run a business with $0 in the bank? It's impossible. Nobody from upper managed even reached out to apologize or reimburse me for hell they put me and my employees through. All that aside, I will say I do like the workers inside that branch, I'm just really angry at whoever in upper management decided to do this.
