Perpetually understaffed. Rude to customers. Send notifications saying prescriptions are ready when they aren't. Don't send notifications when prescriptions are actually ready. Even when there are half a dozen people in the pharmacy only one person working the register, line to the back of the store. Every time it's like this.

The staff here are always SO nice, even when it's busy and I'm having issues with my scrip, it's really sweet.

1) Stand in line for 20-40 mins waiting for medicine you were notified was ready2) Give your name; wait 3 seconds for the person to tell you it will "be ready in a half hour."3) Come back in a half hour even though it was on the shelf 2 feet behind them the entire time, wait a half hour in the line that literally never gets smaller.4) Hear some random person tell the pharmacist they are going to kill themselves because this is the 4th time they've been there for their anti-depressants but CVS lied to them each time.5) Get your medicine & don't buy anything else because the self-checkouts require age verification for everything then require the ONE employee working the floor to come over and authorize a purchase even though they're clearly swamped unloading their dollar store toys near, but never on, the shelves.6) Get home and contemplate why you still use this place as your pharmacy month after month

The service here used to be good. Then the corporate overloads decided that having a skeletal crew could "save" them money so, it takes forever to pick up a prescription. I'm on hold right now, and we are already up to a 10 minutes waiting. I would stop by, but the line always has 5-7 people. This is all merely to update my insurance info. This is not a place that values customers time. And after 12 minutes hold, they hung up. After another 5 minutes, I asked why it was taking over 30 hours to fill a simple prescription. Her response: "because it's a pharmacy."A 1 minute task will take 30 minutes. Go elsewhere.

This CVS is the worst! It used to be hit or miss but now it's all miss. They often take a week to find meds in stock and have to keep calling. They are extremely disorganized and the pharmacist often cannot understand doctors notes. Also, they short filled my meds and making me come in person risking getting the meds lost or stolen to fill what they missed. Avoid at all costs!

Hands down the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Consistently long lines for prescription pick up, don’t pick up the phone, slow. My medicine is never ready when they say it will be, they’ve caused it to be delayed for days because they don’t communicate.

I believe this CVS pharmacy provides a great atmosphere to people in the area. It is one of my go to stores, because they have quick things I like to get available when other stores are close. It is sometimes is just right for the brands I buy.

Possibly the worst CVS pharmacy I have been to, and yet I thought the ones I visited before in the were pretty bad too. A surreal experience. After several cues trying to fill a prescription week after week, for almost a month, I had to ask my doctor to write another prescription and send it to another pharmacy, far from downtown Silver Spring. Will hopefully never be back.

Startlingly poor service in the pharmacy lately. It took me three visits to get an essential medication, and the delay required multiple contacts from my doctor. No one answers the phone, very disorganized, and a two-aisle-long line of sick and elderly awaiting service. sick people waiting in line in this crowded place will increase the rate of ill in the area!

If I could give a negative rating, I would. I signed up for an appointment for a flu and covid vaccine. After I got to the store and checked in, I waited for over 30 mins before someone helped me. The man working on the pharmacy told me I wasn’t on the COVID vaccine list and therefore he could not give it to me. I literally showed him my appointment verification email where it said COVID-19 and he refused to acknowledge its validity and would not give me my vaccine. This store is terrible and needs to be shut down for pure incompetence.

They are unable to process simple requests in a timely manner. I had a supervisor at Caremark put a special override in the system to expedite my prescription and they still did it wrong. My husband has been there twice today. I’m on another endless hold with the pharmacist. I will have to go. Third trip in one day.

I’ve had great experiences and horrible experiences at all CVS pharmacy’s. AH! But I’ve had all these experiences no matter where the pharmacy was and who owned and ran it. Show me a great pharmacy and I’ll show you the Milky Way. Any pharmacy is a hit or miss experience, so c’mon, cut some slack with nasty reviews. Ever try working at pharmacy?
