I've had consistently frustrating experiences at this Giant location. Seems like they want all of use to use the self-checkout machines because the cashiers’ are frequently broken or out of service, which creates long lines and makes it hard to get checked out quickly. It feels like there's never enough staff available to help either, so shopping here usually ends up taking longer than it should.

This is the most frustrating shitty Giant ever. They go months without simple items ; months without ginger beer, months without crystal light flavors, months without major coffee creamer brands/flavors, months without the herb MINT! They don’t MINT for weeks during the height of summer!
And when asked about this, they give you simple shrugs saying corporate just must not be sending it. But…it’s a major grocery store less than a mile from DC in a major suburb?! And no MINT for weeks? Insane.
Just go to Aldi or Safeway or somewhere that has common simple grocery store items.

This supermarket is much expensive than any supermarket around. And each week the price of everything getting more and more expensive . I only buy two or three items that I can not find them in another store. Please every customer just check the price in other supermarket around .if you buy more items you definitely lose a lot of money in GIANT SUPER MARKET

I visited on 7/28/25 at approximately 9:15 PM, I felt very sick by the time I left this store due to the disgusting stench emanating from this store, which reeked of rotten food. To make matters worse, the store was unbearably hot within the register/checkout area. And although this store is conveniently located (I live directly across from it) I will never again step foot in this store as the standards by which it’s kept leave much to be desired and not worth risking my health and safety. As for the “owner”: do not ask me to call as I find this akin to ignoring what’s been said. Our community deserves better! Improve the cleanliness and standards of this store!

Absolutely love Giant supermarket. We used to shop at one when I was a little child, and it's only gotten better over the years.
The loyalty program is great because you can get money off of groceries and gasoline.

Just witnessed perhaps the rudest customer service interaction I’ve ever seen.
Several of us are waiting in the frozen food aisle for the checkout lanes because you all never have enough cashiers working. An elderly woman was standing in front of the frozen vegetable section when one of your workers said “Excuse me” as she was trying to retrieve something from the freezer. The woman was hard of hearing and didn’t hear your worker. Your worker then yelled at this poor elderly woman for her to get out of her way, when this poor woman simply did not hear the worker the first time. The worker was a black woman with bright red hair. I feel awful for how this customer was treated by your employee and felt the need to say something here.
Edit: There is no reason for me to call you. I've said everything I needed to say here.

Their sushi department (on the far left of the store when you first walk in) is remarkably good and especially affordable on Wednesdays. I went there and everything I wanted was gone once--so the chef actually made the roll I requested on the spot which was *so kind* of him. Five stars to these workers.--Just watch out for the other shoppers (since they're not watching anything themselves).

I recently ordered a Venti Iced Caramel Macchiato at Starbucks, which usually includes three shots of espresso. However, I observed the employee preparing my drink and noticed that he filled the cup with milk to the top, only added a quarter of a shot of espresso, and provided poor service overall.
The interaction felt unwelcoming, as there were no smiles or greetings, just a lackluster approach to customer service. It’s disappointing, as this is not the standard I expect from Starbucks. I would not recommend this location based on my experience.
I believe it would be beneficial to have staff who can provide better customer service to enhance the overall experience for patrons. Thank you for considering this feedback.

This store is hit or miss , starting with entering or exiting . There seems to be a regular disturbance at the entrance many times. The store is always dirty and disorganized. many employees are just walking around . overall mismanagement within the last couple of years. At this point I travel to a different store location,or a completely different store not giant , unless I'm in a hurry , and need something quick. I prefer to spend my money where my business is wanted , and I'm treated with correct customer service. The overall vibe of the store is less than welcoming . It's rather scary ,a complete feeling of unsafe . Rude employees ,the workers at the service area seem to have an attitude of why are they being bothered ?. Many cashiers seem to have no interaction , just get it done .

They need to tighten up management and tell panhandlers and smokers to move along. Many seniors shop there and don't want to be solicited and harassed. The employees and so-called security people just party w/them. Pls. get an off duty cop and improve the customer experience. Employees take up the bench outside to smoke. I'm going to start doing only pickup as it's so ghetto.
