I saw a young black man walk in and the employees were like looking at him as if he came in there to steal the security guard kept looking at him then I then saw a young lady employee position her cart as to block the exit to the self checkout as if they were thinking the guy was going to run out with the item when I saw all of this I was like wow but I didn’t say anything but that’s sad and shameful on the part of the employees shame on Home Depot

I had a really disappointing experience at this Home Depot yesterday around 4pm. When I arrived to pick up some pressure treated lumber the aisle was closed. Three staff members were around and pointed me to the area where I could get my lumber once the area was available again. A fourth staff member, Blaze, was outside on a skid steer. There was a discussion among staff about who was spotting Blaze, but the staff decided that since he was outside it was fine and within 5 minutes they were all gone. Forty minutes later the area was still closed off while several customers sat waiting. Over the 40 minutes I was there the skid steer entered the building only twice for a total of about 6 minutes. It was out of sight of the building the rest of the time. Because I could find no staff I called customer service only to be told that the 40+ minute closure was fine because they were unloading a truck even though they rarely entered the building. The second time the skid steer came into the building I made eye contact and gestured to ask how much longer, but Blaze just drove away. About 10 minutes later (after about 40 minutes of waiting, Blaze brought the skid steer in for a third time and I was able to get his attention and ask how much longer he was going to keep the area closed off. At this point he opened the area, saying that he had no idea anyone was waiting.

This Home Depot is always a mixed bag of experiences. Today was not a good one. No one at customer service for 25 mins after opening to enable collection of an online order. Once collected, headed to lumber to get a 4x8 plywood sheet cut down only to find an out of order sign on the machine. Headed back to customer service to return the order as it would not fit in the wagon without being cut. A wasted hour unfortunately.

Never order anything online for in-store pick up. Home Depot doesn’t have a system for processing these and the people there don’t care about these types of purchases every time we’ve used this service. We wait more than an hour for staff to pull our order off the shelves and put it into our hands. Use traditional delivery to your home if you have the option.

I went to this Home Depot yesterday to find a metal, NOT plastic, flat dustpan. After finding the dustpan, I noticed they had a ton of these Fill Stick Wood Repair Paint Pens, all kinds. While realizing all the choices I had, I must have looked undecided and confused ( which I was), a kind perceptive employee noticed that I looked lost( which I was also). I had chosen the two Filler Pens I needed, but was trying to return a third un- needed pen to it's proper shelf. I couldn't find where I had found it. I imagine the employees watch customers trying to replace their unwanted items in their proper location all the time! Anyway, this young man, Carlton, came to help me as a courteous gesture, and I am grateful for this conscientious Home Depot employee. He said don't worry, I will find the spot where it belongs. Thank you, CARLTON!!!
I always find what I need in this Home Depot, even people.

Miserable experiences every time I’m at the laurel store. Half the time I drive an extra 20 minutes to go to Columbia. Inventory online is never accurate with what’s in the store and the employees (if you can find one) don’t know where anything as and don’t care to help you find it

Marya and Mickey were outstanding! Super friendly, super helpful and super knowledgeable. Took the time to help me find hard to reach stuff and made me feel like they genuinely appreciated me shopping at HD. Great store, great staff.
