What a complete joke want ever go HR block again Bunch of liars Incompetent people Appointment was at 10 AM get a call at 9:45 tax preparer running late turns out nada already there went McDonald’s she was there I didn’t know who she was saw her waited over hour bad enough HR block screwed up my taxes last year went third party then nada said third party are not at all trusted that’s case how come they knew you screwed up my taxes women she running behind of services she had another client manager said call her other client 11 am gona be late she was late on mines hR block screwed up takes two years in row been client years what a joke ? extremely unprofessional dissatisfied disappointed No apologize for inconvenience tax defense network had fix my last years taxes because of hR block screwed up I gave letter person said don’t need without it I’m gona i camed in silver spring office because I forgot paperwork women said ok come appointment the manager said ok come in which I did hR block silver silver spring Maryland what form is it I said gambling winnings then said oh file extension I said why didn’t u tell me that instead having me wait over hour this is ridiculous you will hear from lawyer management manager I don’t have hear talk them I will have district manager call I said manager why would u allow worker support what documentation make it seem like you can do now saying you can’t why lead me on by coming today now I can receive penalty hR block needs write worker for comments today and write managers don’t ever go HR block silver spring Maryland by train station

The people here are useless.
Twice they wasted my time only to say they can't help with my taxes. Are they tax professionals or not?
I don't understand why anyone would want to go here. If you're taxes are easy you can file them yourself for free. If you're taxes are any more complicated than copying information from your W2 they'll just waste your time and say its over their heads.

I've read other reviews here on Yelp and was very hesitant in utilizing the services of this tax preparation company but I am happy to report I did have an excellent experience! I was assigned Sue who was amazing!!The price was quite reasonable to file my federal and state taxes in which I provided scanned copies of all my documents the day before my appointment. No wait and I was done in one hour for a joint tax return.I also need to note, out of all the tax preparers and even CPA's I have used in the past, none, not even one, has ever provided me information about my limiting my tax liabilities. Sue noted some very simple things to do, and to return to her in October to get a head start/make sure my next return is on track with no surprises. Her knowledge, professionalism and experience should be the gold standard in which all tax professionals are held to.

I am so pleased with Ms. Sue Tomasso's work. Although, we had a slight bump in the road initially. She corrected the issue and we started anew. She is very professional and knowledgeable.

This is the worst experience I’ve had with HR block. The colesville rd branch in silver Spring specifically. I booked a sit-down appointment online, and they called and confirmed the appointment. Then my husband and I show up after getting a babysitter and planning our lives around this. They claim we always had a drop off appointment and then proceed to be so rude and condescending. I checked my email and text messages and no we did not sign up for a drop off. They also attempted to reschedule but then give sooo much attitude and claim they are booked when they aren’t. The whole experience was unreal! Don’t go there! I wouldn’t even trust dropping off my documents with them!
