The store was well-kept and organized. However, the only issue was the temperature. With the current heat and humidity in the DMV area (around 90°), the store felt extremely hot. I truly felt bad for the staff working in those conditions.

Michaels at Silver Spring was a treat for my grandson and me.
We particularly went to purchase art supplies and we were satisfied with our purchases.
The service/ reception person
was also helpful with info about the store, our first time visit

If you're visiting: this store is inside Ellsworth place (shopping mall) with a dedicated entrance from the Ellsworth Drive. Best parking - garage on Wayne Avenue (garage #60) Another option is garage #61 but you will need to walk over mall to visit Michaels, so if visiting only Michaels, garage #60 is a best bet. Parking is free on Sunday, otherwise it's $1.25 per hour.
Store itself is pretty big, single level but feels a little cramped due to high shelves. Getting assistance was no issues, YMMV. Check-out has 3 self service station, so should be quite fast.
Overall - if looking for ideas or small items, then worth the visit. Otherwise - order online.

Store is difficult to get to due to the headache of looking for parking and then navigating to the basement of a mall. They open before the mall; so, if you go before the mall opens, you’ll be walking around the block until you find the one door that goes into Michaels from the street (located on Ellsworth Road).

This is my favorite store. It's organized, and it is a good place to browse. I always find more than my list.
