They keep referring you for a virtual appointment and you always get a PA not an MD. For all the money we spend on insurance, you should be able to see an MD.

I call on the 12/12/23 for an acute illness they told they don't have any appointments till next week so go to urgent care. Urgent say I should see my primary care I have appointments for physical 1/9 hoping to see my doctor these say I can't get a physical until 1/18. THIS IS MY HEALTH. Why should they care. The service so poor I continue to hang in. But this is where I am done.

This place is a joke and full of clowns. The first issue is that they are sending me a statement with a balance on it with no explanation as to where the balance came from. This is in 2023. On the statement they have dated from 2011 and from the last time I saw them in 2021.Second issue is that they tell you to call them if you have questions about your bill *on their statement* with two different numbers, and they are both incorrect as in it takes you to the doctors’s office. Then they tell you that nobody at the office can actually help you with the bill. And then they give me another number. This is the second time I’ve called this number and nobody has returned my phone call.Third issue is that the last time I saw them back in 2021, the provider, Gina Famiglitti put me on a new med with terrible side affects because she didn’t know what she was doing and she gave me the wrong dose (this is what my new, amazing doctor told me) and then she didn’t have the decency to call me back after I left her a message so that we could figure out the next step, mind you I called and left her three messages. I had to fuss out the front desk to get Gina to tell me to stop the medication. She also never actually spoke to me, she had her front desk person do it. Real professional. That said, I am happily a patient at Medstar now and they’ve been wonderful.

I wish I could give them zero stars. This is an insurance mill. They don't actually care about the health of their patients. Do not put your health in their hands. They are checking the boxes and billing your insurance. Staff is rude and doctors are IMPOSSIBLE to talk to. Dr. Friedland actually informed in writing that I need to do three month prescription follow ups because thats what their malpractice insurance calls for. That's who is making the decisions at this practice - their malpractice insurance. That's not what any patients wants to hear. You have been warned. Do not use this practice. And when having a call to ask for help getting me prescriptions refilled she hung up on me.

First of all, this review is NOT for my doctor, Dr. Salwan. She is five stars and is absolutely wonderful. This review is for the office staff, mainly the interactions you have before you see anyone in the back.I recently had come in several times for some health issues. For about two or three times now, I witnessed the office staff berating, yelling at, or being condescending towards patients. This last time I was in (this last weekend), the receptionist was yelling at someone on the phone right when I was walking in to the point where I thought she was taking a personal call. Her tone and demeanor did not sound like someone working in an office setting. Her colleague did not correct her behavior when she was done with the phone call and instead they started talking about getting their nails done as if the girl hadn't just yelled at a patient on the phone in earshot of the entire waiting room.I understand working in health care can be a difficult job and dealing with people is never easy. However, what I have witnessed several times is severely out of line. It is very uncomfortable to be sitting in the waiting room watching receptionists yelling at patients or listening to them talk about patients negatively. The entire waiting room environment is very tense and chaotic, and the overall climate is very unprofessional. It is a relief to be called back when you are ready to be seen.

Update from 3 years ago.I'm super annoyed with the office staff. If I call and request a medication refill, I expect it to be filled. If there are issues, it's easy to get in touch. In the past 5 months I've had office staff tell me that I had never requested a prescription refill twice now. Because I'm patient ?I give it a few days only to find out the pharmacy hasn't gotten anything at all. Then staff telling me I never called it in. This is on top of having to wait on hold for at least 15-30 minutes just to request this prescription. Also just lately after a week & a half lag on my refill, where the pharmacy called them the Dr to tell them they were back ordered on my medication there was no follow thru. At all. Pharmacy won't release information to me, only Dr, and office tells me it's not part of the program anymore. They just don't do that. It's up to me. Who the pharmacy won't talk to regarding options, talking to my dr who won't inform me of the news they received. So now I know if pharmacy says they contacted my doctor, that means I have to them contact my Dr. That's not really helpful for my health.

Every instance I’ve come in over the past 3-4 years has been worse than the last. None of the staff are trauma informed or have any motivation to be. Medical records are mismanaged and in my case were almost always ignored. None of the staff acknowledge mental wellness or the dangerous impact of looking at BMI as the only indicator of how “healthy” a person is. J. Peckins, PA-C was by far the most unprofessional, blatantly harmful, and dismissive individual I’ve encountered and meeting with her just once was enough to have me making an emergency appointment with a therapist. Do not look into this place (or individual provider) unless you are looking to receive little to no care.

One star is too many for this facility. I cannot believe I trusted Montgomery Family Medicine with my health. They are only good for yearly check-ups if you don't have an issue. The office personnel is rude and unprofessional. The office manager is incapable of performing her job. The doctors are rarely available, especially for urgent matters. Poor service all the way around! I would stay away if you want to be treated like a human.

Front desk not always friendly, unapproachable. Not a fan of many of their policies like an appointment required for prescription REFILL. They're not very organized with medical records. Ive provided them with records and yet they still ask for them over and oer again???

The doctors are good but the office management and staff are rude. They don't schedule enough time for you to get good care and they treat patients poorly.

I've been a patient here for years!! I couldn't have asked for a better doctor!! Yes, Nicole!! She's a PA, but better then any actual doctor doctor. She is so sweet and always spot on with my diagnosis and treatments. I would say its a bit tough to get through the phones, but have gotten better throughout the past few weeks, so kudos to them!! Always very helpful, and quick to respond. There were two different occasions where these young ladies helped me in time of need. They were 2 Hispanic ladies (sorry for being so specific) in the front desk. I believe their names were Lesly and Alejandra. Helped me with both of my issues and got back to me in a timely manner! Also can't forget Jessica who was able to draw my blood in 1 try!! I'm a hardstick, so I was definitely amazed!! Good office overall and aslong as these fellas are here, Ill happily continue to come

Worst doctors office in Macgomery county! The staff at the front desk care more about their fake eyelashes and fake nails than they do clients. They will put you on hold forever and make you hang up repeatedly and call back only to be put on hold again. The woman Stacee who answers portal questions is the rudest person in the building and should be fired. Don’t waste your time at the low budget facility. Hope you get shut down!
