All the therapists I have worked with over the years have been very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I am lucky to have them so close to my home but when I used them when I was working, it was also good fortune that they are so close to the Silver Spring metro.

I was a patient awhile ago. But have been looking into old notes. The treatment was great but your employee who collects money is rude and treated me like my injuries weren't serious. I wasn't properly discharged and never completed care. After being in an accident in November of 2015, I started physical therapy with Physical Therapy and Sports Assessment in Silver Spring, MD. I was seen twice a week for four months for injuries sustained in the car accident. I had previously fallen a few years early and had been to physical therapy before for the same injuries I sustained in the accident in November of 2015 where I was hit from behind. To sum it up - I re-injured my neck and back which had been previously injured by a fall down some stairs, which was treated years before. My car insurance was prepared to pay the medical bills at the expense of the woman who hit me. The staff at Sports Assesment waited until I racked up over $7,000 worth of bills to confront me that I would owe that money to them personally. I was basically accosted by a worker while receiving treatment at one session. She basically threatened me and told me that I shouldn't be coming to physical therapy anymore. She was not a doctor, but a staff worker who handles the bills. I was insulted by her saying that my injury wasn't that bad and I should be able to recover just fine at home now. The company never discharged me properly and the therapist agreed that I needed more treatment

This is the third time I’ve come to this NovaCare location for different injuries. Ed Lee does a great job running this clinic. It large, spacious and well equipped. This time around my physical therapist was primarily Nate. He really got me back on my feet (quite literally) very quickly which I very much appreciate! I am back to almost 100% in terms of my pre-surgery activities. Will hopefully not need them again anytime soon, but if I do, I would go back there first

I've used the services at NovaCare Rehabilitation to work out some issues with my lower back. I was pleasantly surprised that they have a wide range of availability; they are open from 7 am to 7 pm. From my experience, it was fairly easy to make appointments for a 7 am slot, but the facility seemed to have a lot of availability during the morning hours. While I visited only a few times, I thought the physical therapists were fairly knowledgeable, nice, and respectful. It was kind of funny because most of the stretches that I did during my PT sessions were the same one that I already had been doing at home. So, in my case, I don't think they did anything to add to my recovery. I did notice that one of my physical therapist was a bit more engaging with other clients. Perhaps, that physical therapist worked with those other clients than with me so there was more of a professional connection. Also, I think this happens occurs because the facility tends to double or even triple book appointments. There were a few occasions where the physical therapist took a while to return to me once I finished my exercise. *However, I think this is fairly common for most physical therapy facilities.* For me personally, I thought it was a bit annoying that my physical therapist would have me walk on a treadmill for 10-15 minutes to warm up. This is fine, but the warm up was about 1/4th of the hour session. I would have preferred to do the warm up on my own time and dedicate the session to the actual PT exercises. *Again, maybe this is typically for most PT treatment plans. Overall, I thought the facility is pretty spacious and was very clean. While I have not done physical therapy in a while, I thought a most of NovaCare's equipment looked pretty up to date.

NovaCare is in a great location in the "Giant plaza" near the silver spring metro. All staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. My physical therapist was Camille. She has great communication and encouragement skills. I saw her for minor injury recovery and she gave clear instructions and encouragement without any pressure or guilt. I hope to stay healthy but if I need therapy again I'll definitely be back!

Rehabbed my second knee injury (2nd ACL tear and surgery) with NovaCare Silver Spring.I primarily worked with Nate Houston, DPT who was absolutely amazing, knowledgeable, and up to date on the latest science, but everyone from the front desk to the manager were friendly and helpful.Nate created a detailed work out plan for me to continue on my own after graduation which is extremely helpful.I started in their old suite, but they have since upgraded to a much larger and full featured space on the fourth floor. It's a very convenient location in downtown Silver Spring with free and ample parking. I walked from my apartment which was great as I live alone and didn't need to have someone to drive me once I could walk post-op.I'd recommend NovaCare Rehab Downtown Silver Spring without hesitation. Professionalism, acumen, compassion, empathy, and knowledge abound.

Ed Lee assessed my 14 year old’s injury and after one session, my stubborn teen who was convinced he could conduct his own physical therapy was impressed and fully dialed into physical therapy. The electrical stimulation used to heal the tissue and muscle inflammation was a game changer. And inclusion of a game to work on balance and strength was the icing on the cake.

Staff was excellent. They were very knowledgeable, very professional, and carefully established routines treated my injury, but were not beyond my capabilities. I was completely satisfied with my treatment. I highly recommend them

I had a great 5 months of PT here after breaking my shoulder. Nate Houston helped tremendously and was able to pinpoint exactly which exercises I needed to focus on in order to continue my progression. Upon finishing my therapy, my shoulder is at about 90%, and I’m confident Nate has trained me to do the right exercises at home in order to achieve full recovery in the near future.
