I'm rehabbing from a full knee replacement. I choose Pivot/SS because of the location. However, I feel I really lucked out. Yes it is convenient for me but the place is ideal for my rehab. The place is well equipped and very clean. Wilson, Jeffrey and Jackie are all friendly and professional. The place is never crowded and I feel I am getting excellent care and attention. The exercises increase every time I go. It's obvious that they are paying attention to my recovery and are pushing me in an appropriate way. I feel they really listen to me and are very invested in my success. I'm so glad I found them.

Pivot in Silver Spring is the place to go to get professional and personalized service once you walk through the door. My physical therapist assigns me activities that get RESULTS! Everyone there promote an atmosphere of POSITIVITY. If ever in need of physical therapy, check out PIVOT!

The physical therapist came out and accosted me for not filling out the paper work correctly. This was my first appointment. I turned around. No thank you. There are so many wonderful PTs in the area who are also nice. Stay away from this place. You deserve better.

I had an excellent experience with Pivot. After years of chronic illness, in 2019 I was finally able to exercise and hike again. So when I suffered a major injury a few months in, it seemed at first like a big setback. But working with Lindsay gave me the strength and confidence to see that I could make major steps forward, and even come out stronger than before I was injured. I injured my legs in late summer 2019 on a hike, and spent fall recovering on doctor's orders. When I was ready for PT, I checked out three PT options in the neighborhood, including Pivot which a friend had recommended years ago when she had a good rehab experience. I suffer from chronic migraines and most PT places are brightly lit with glaring overhead lights, which is bad news for me. Pivot has this kind of setup, but the director Danielle showed me how I could use a therapy table with a curtain and another one away from an overhead, to give me options that would work for me. She was helpful and supportive, and helped me check out the facility before scheduling. Both Danielle and Lindsay are great. I scheduled with Lindsay due to availability. Lindsay evaluated me and started me on a program. We worked together from late December through February, and she re-evaluated me multiple times. With chronic pain, it's hard for me to figure out how to answer pain scale questions that are important for evaluation, and she always helped walk me through my questions. The program she created was varied and fun. It felt great to be able to clearly measure how I was progressing by using stronger resistance, heavier weights, moving to higher intensity and so on. And when I came up against issues, she helped me to proceed in a safe way that was finely tuned to other physical challenges I navigate, like clicking from my joints. By the time I was ready to graduate, not only did I make a full recovery, I felt STRONGER than when I was injured, and ready to move up to a regular strength training program. She also gave me all the advice, printouts, online videos, and recommendations that enabled me to achieve what I wanted to achieve in rehab. Important to note: Seeing a great physical therapist is about 20% of the work. People who recover as well as I did continually put in the effort to follow an increasingly difficult program. Athletes and regular gym-goers are used to following a regimen. I had been dealing with chronic illness for years and hadn't been in good enough health for regular exercise until early 2019. But I put in the work to follow Lindsay's program and build back up. (Coronavirus P.S.: I made the bad-timing choice of joining a gym in Feb 2020 as I was wrapping PT... but I made it there consistently for 11 sessions. Then one day I found myself listening to early podcasts about flattening the curve when few people were taking it seriously. And there I was... at the gym... I left, stocked up on groceries, and hunkered down at home before March hit. Thanks to my practice with Lindsay, I had a mini-home gym ready to go and was well-equipped going into a long time staying safe at home.)

I stand by my below, detailed, inexplicably hidden review: my experience with Andy has been nothing but fantastic, and I'd recommend this place to anyone. I do, in fact, recommend this place to everyone: my mother is currently having foot issues, and I suggested she go here rather than her usual PT.

I saw Andrew Wiseman, (Andy) and the appointment lasts 30 minutes. They simply don't care about the patient. Instead, we are given forms to fill out that take twice as long as the physical therapy because they seem to be geared for malpractice cases - just to complete forms, rather than help us with our injuries. I am used to being worked hard so that I can help myself. I am appalled and wish to formally complain to anyone that will listen. Please don't waste your time with Pivot Physical Therapy in Silver Spring and in particular, Andy.
