PNC online services are without a doubt the worst I've experienced. I lived in the UK for 20 years, traveled to over 15 countries for work and holiday, yet PNC seems to be stuck in the 1980 with their online presence. I need to transfer money to an external account of mine. Every time I have to do it (outside of the standing order I set up and NEED to adjust - but cant find the correct hidden code) its an ordeal. But now its a new level of terrible: My external account is nowhere to be seen. I called for support, and I was told: Go to the INTERNAL transfer tab. Select add/manage EXTERNAL account. Enter data. Done, and when I went to the external tab, the account was not there, so once again I tried to add an external account, and I was told you add this account it already exists. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement.

Been a PNC Bank customer for decades. Generally happy with their customer orientation. However this branch is disorganized and understaffed. Made an appointment but waited for an hour to see the banker. They take walk ins for complex requests which means customers with appointments wait. And wait. The security guard is the most helpful person to be honest; he advocated to bankers to see me. They need to fix their system and only see walk ins for simple requests.

I must share the most unpleasant experience I have encountered at this particular PNC Bank location with a teller named “Janya.”There was not a single time where she was pleasant servicing me as a valued customer.I have brought to a manager’s attention regarding an incident once before, however it seems like such behavior is tolerated since Janya continued her mistreatment towards me. She looks miserable and unhappy to be there. I suggest that the brunch makes an effort training Janya to be more of customer friendly.

I experienced Discrimination at this Bank. I was attempting to cash a check, for which I provided two forma of ID. I was told the check ‘could not be verified’ by the tellers Zachary and Kristin, despite my presenting additional documentation and contact numbers of government offices they could reach out to if absolutely necessary. There can’t be anything more straightforward to verify than a check from a government office, yet they stared at the check, didn’t call any numbers to even attempt to verify my check, and then told me they couldn’t cash it because it ‘couldn’t be verified’. The checks came with governing issued master promissory note and were still attached to the government issued check stubs.I think I know what they used to make their decision. I’m also filling a complaint with the BBB, a matter this startedWhen I requested to speak with the branch manager I was left waiting in the lobby well after the bank branch’s closing time and all the customers had left, and cleaning and counting the registers was underway. I had to get back to work but was left sitting in the lobby, as if my time and my concerns were unimportant.I myself called the government contact numbers that I gave them and managed to reach someone. This is a clear case of discrimination at the Downtown Silver Spring branch of PNC.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Nothing against this particular branch, but the bank as a whole. They charge 2% fee to cash a check. So why bother taking a check to a bank, why not to a check cashing business? They're only a little more expensive and much better hours. Lots of banks charge a small fee, and that's usually less than $10, but when it becomes a percentage that's a lot of money if you have a check for more than a few hundred dollars.

My Aunt calls me Dan and wrote me a check to help me with my business. My wife and I both have an account with PNC, and because Daniel wasn't on the check the bank teller wouldn't let me cash the check. My wife has money in the account. They wouldn't even let me deposit the check in my wife's account. There was no manager on site. The hilarious part is, my Aunt still has my last name clearly on the check with a number to verify that Dan is actually me. That's fine that this is policy. But the woman was rude, and the fact that there was no manager on site made it even more rude. I will make sure and never use them as a bank again, even if I need to get quarters. I really felt judged by her and or her policy that I was like some type of criminal.

Hey I use the atm outside weekly and I feel stupid for not knowing that right next to it was a perfectly good walk in bank! Well I Guess you live and learn, right! It was very modern inside and very clean. The greeter was helpful and the teller was awesome. I can honestly say that I'm glad I found this bank because I have a lot of pnc accounts and this one is on the same street as my office! Kudos pnc. One problem I had a few weeks ago was that ATM screen was a little non responsive. I will try it again soon to make sure it's working better but I'm sure they will make sure it works!

It seems like people either love or hate this location. I have visited several times in the last month between hours of 10am and 12pm and have not had to wait much for service (once for like 10 mins, totally reasonable) . The GM, Pedro, is super helpful and I'd recommend asking for him if you have any complex banking issues or questions. He's knowledgeable and friendly.

Just incompetent in every facet. 10 people in line, 10 employees, but only 1 of the employees is behind the glass to take customers. A failing enterprise coupled with lethargic and ill-qualified workers.

I love this branch I have been coming here for years. Friendly staff. Have my business accounts and personal accounts here. Never had a problem!

Completely incompetent. Usually when people are doing complicated business (setting up accounts, getting a second person on an account, etc.), you get to sit down and talk to someone. Here, they just gave us a piece of paper to fill out, which didn't do at all what we had requested, and gave us the run-around. I just ended up going to another branch because I could never get a straight answer from this one. They even spelled my partner's name wrong on important documents. These people have no idea what they're doing, and there are two other branches in close proximity that are competent. Go there instead.

If there was a way to give 0 stars, I would. This is actually the WORST bank I've ever transacted business with in my lifetime. I worked for a very large financial institution and I was appalled at how poor the service is at this branch. It took the staff over a month to set up an account (which should only take a day) and I had to return to the branch three times. I called several times to ask account questions and I was constantly given the wrong answer. The service is a complete and utter joke. I wonder how the staff is able to get through a full day with their lack of knowledge. I only opened the account for business purposes as I needed a bank with a branch in NY. As soon as I sell my business, I will take my accounts elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and NEVER bank at this branch unless you're doing something simple like a deposit. The staff is not capable of handling anything more complex.

The location of this bank is extremely convenient... The service of this bank is just average!
