The Silver Spring Recreation and Aquatic Center is a wonderful and outstanding new facility in downtown Silver Spring. It is a beautiful, well-equipped, and very clean center with multiple pools, a gym, a fitness room, and studios. The pool is clean with no strong chlorine smell, suitable for laps and aquatic play. The gym and equipment are excellent and always work. Great classes are offered, including pickleball, with a super welcoming vibe. A bonus is the onsite Kefa Coffee shop. Memberships are free for county residents. The only downside is there is no free parking; only paid street or garage parking about a block and a half away.
