Great experience the many times I’ve been a client over the years. However, it’s important to update a client on cost when being upsold on extras. For instance today I was floored and disappointed to receive a charge of $40 extra for 10-15 minutes of a special “shea-butter conditioner”. I would have immediately declined such service. Under no circumstance should that cost $40. Ridiculous where we are with fees for services.
Other then that, I’m 100% satisfied.

I've been a loyal customer of The Edge Hair Salon for over a decade, consistently experiencing exceptional customer service and receiving compliments on my stylish haircuts. During my recent visit, I observed Ms. Obi waiting to be serviced then abruptly walked out after making a statement using a profane word. It was bizarre to say the least. Although I sensed negative energy, I cannot speculate further. While I didn't witness any mistreatment or unprofessional behavior from The Edge Team, using the review system to attack this business is unjust and baseless. Visit The Edge Salon to experience top-notch hair care services in the DMV area.

It’s sad to say that this is a black owned or the people working here are blacks at least and in my walking in you see the owner and her workers making these horrible faces like you came to bug them or you are not customer worthy. The experience here from walking in was really mean to say the least which no customer should have to experience that and I can’t get my hair done in such an environment so I had to leave. Just a tip customers are what contribute to your business growth so treat them with respect and kindness.

I had a really good experience! I got a flat twists and Giselle did a beautiful job. The staff were very caring and offered me snacks and drinks multiple times.

Requested style: Requested coloring, silk out, and trim. The color is amazing with all over permanent color and high lights and low lights. The silk out is nice, straight, and lightweight with a pretty shine.

Amazing experience from beginning to end. Anamaria and Carole gave me a truly luxurious experience. My hair looks and feels amazing and healthy. I also enjoyed the shampoo and scalp massage. The whole experience had me feeling like I'd taken a trip to the spa! Highly recommend!

I was a walk in and really appreciated how kind everyone was and their willingness to get me in at the last minute. I had a color and cut. The color came out great. When it came time to get my haircut I was really disappointed. After washing my hair they didn't bother to detangle it and let me sit there waiting. My hair became dry and to cut it she ran a comb through it like I had straight hair. I asked for the front of my hair to be trimmed to shape my face and I explained several times that the back of my hair needs to be cut shorter because it doesn't curl the same and she did not listen. This is not the place to get your natural curls trimmed or cut. I am wearing my hair in a ponytail until it grows out in the front and hoping to get the back fixed/trimmed a little. : (

My experience at this salon was good, Gisele washed, de-tangled, and silk pressed my hair. Gisele was very careful and gentle with my hair. I appreciated that so much because I have thick 4c hair and many people do not have the patience or skill to do my hair, I was impressed! Ana is great she explained to me what would be best for the health of my hair and gave me a beautiful style and trim that made my hair look so full. Everyone is kind and they offered refreshments multiple times throughout my appointment. I hope to visit again soon!

I made an appointment for my 12 year old daughter to get a silk press. On a busy Friday before Christmas, we did not have a long wait time and our experience was professional from start to finish. My daughter's hair turned out beautifully and I was given a tutorial on how to upkeep her hair before our next appointment. The service was expensive- but you get what you pay for and to me, it was worth it. We will definitely be repeat customers!

I had better expectations for this Salon. I booked an appointment for a hair trim with Anamaria. The reason why it is two stars is because she was gentle. However, from the second I sat on the chair there were so many red flags. First, the tools she used on my hair were not sterile or disinfected. They were already previously used on another client for a haircut. I was there and saw the same tools being used. She used the same scissors and the same brush! DISGUSTING! Second, she began to cut my hair before even discussing to me how much she would cut off and what she would do to my hair. I even stopped her and asked her what she would be doing. When she finished my service I got up to pay and she told the lady at the front to charge me $75 and walked away. My service should have only been $35, I booked a trim not a hair cut! She didn't even consult with me to give me a full haircut. VERY RUDE. She said she had told me it would be more than a haircut, which she did not, and proceeded to point at the floor with my hair. There wasn't even that much hair on the floor. I have very curly hair and try my best to take care of it. I thought I could trust this place and find a new salon to get trims but this is definitely not the place. UNSANITARY! RUDE! and just disrespectful to treat a client and their hair this way. I really expected much more. Very disappointed of this service.
