This is my local store and the manager at JMD is very kind and provides excellent professionals customers service. The furniture is very durable and we love buying local supporting minority owned businesses that care about the people and the community they serve.

I would not order from an inconsiderate company like this. They parked in the middle of the road blocking traffic and could care less. There were spots 20 feet away but these guys couldn't be bothered.

They are knowingly selling faulty furniture. After 4 months everything from them is defective, I paid 3700 in cash!. I called the manager Jamal and the operator Emron and they could care less. My next step is BBB and/or legal action

The person at the JMD on Iverson Street has a nasty attitude. If a customer is calling about any kind of issue your job is to help as best you can without the attitude or give the phone to someone else. This is your job and what you get paid to do. I will not go back to any JMD Furniture or refer them to anyone else!

This is the worst store ever. Please do not shop here. Their furnitures do not last long and their customer service is the worst. They’ll take your money and no refund at all even if you called the police on them

This is a very bad furniture store. They sell very cheap items that breaks in less than a month. Their financing is double what you are told at the store. They scam people of their money. I spent $1k at the store and no one told me it was a 90 day leasing. Now I’m going to pay $2300 on a $1k furniture that’s already damaged in less than a month. I hate this place.

Okay so let's start with how they waited until the day of delivery 3 hours into the delivery time to tell me that they didn't have in stock what I ordered. Then they proceeded to say "yes ma'am you ordered a black bunk bed but we only have a white one is that cool that should be fine right"? Then when I called the store the young lady who answered the phone offered me $50 store credit. I ask this young lady could I speak to the manager. And I could hear her in the background saying that I asked for more of a compensation. Which was a complete and total lie. I only asked to speak with the manager. When the foreign gentleman got on the line he was very short with me I could hear him telling someone in the background to keep the bunk beds there. I proceeded to explain to him that it was very unprofessional for him to call me the date of delivery 3 hours into the delivery window time to inform me that what I paid my money for was unavailable. Then he proceeded to explain to me that sometimes they have them in stock and sometimes they don't. But failed to tell me on the date that I ordered that they didn't have what I paid my money for and in stock. The ending result is if you are thinking of spending your money at this establishment don't!!!!!!!!!

Don't spend your money here. I went in to buy a recliner. When I sat in the recliner I wanted to purchase , I was told these seats are not for sitting.... I asked how do I determine which was most comfortable to me and of coarse he had no answer.

I kept call the store about my bed set that I paid $586.00 for . But got the wrong size mattress. I tried call the store about it nobody was answering . I tried getting store credit since there give me a full size instead of queen size . But they told me they don’t do that

On June 10th, I purchased a bedroom and living room set. The description stated sofa sleeper and when I called to confirm my order it was stated that no I paid for a love seat and sofa not pull out couch. Right now, at the writing of this review, the website is still advertising the wrong information. I was told to call corporate so I called The corporate office manager or whoever she was at 18005414707 for two issues: the color advertise was not in stock until Nov but it said many in stock online when I bought it and the pull out sofa issue. The manager thanked me for letting her know of the error but said I had to pay more for what I wanted and I said no because I paid for what was advertised on your website. She started telling me how she had to close three stores and things happening during the pandemic etc. Granted I understand but that had nothing to do with my issues as a customer. She then said she doesn't know why I'm getting angry which then made me angry for her making that assumption based on me trying to explain to her my issues and then when I asked if there was someone above her I could speak to she said are you saying that because I'm a woman? Let me say this I'm a woman so I'm not sure why she would say that but long story short, she canceled my order and hung up on me. I was referred here by a family member and I would not refer this store to anyone. If your inventory is not up to date take down your website and respect your customers. F for terrible service....I plan on reporting them on all platforms. If I could give them no stars I would.

It's taken me a while to write this negative review, but maybe this will rectify my situation. I purchased a couch, in cash (one-time payment), on 11/16/2020... two days later it was delivered, but DAMAGED. The wood inside is broken. I immediately called the store and was told that two months later, on 1/23/2021, I'd receive a replacement. I have this in writing. Yet, the replacement has NOT occurred. I am currently in a back and forth with Ericka, Raymond, and the owner, "Emron". It's a shame that I paid and have been duped and left to be ignored. TERRIBLE customer service. During this time of a pandemic, you'd think they'd value their customers even more. As of now, I would NOT RECOMMEND this location to my dog for his dog house.

I bought a dining table from tample hills, MD. They gave me wrong and damaged product. When I let them know it's wrong size dinning table and damaged also. At first they told me next day they'll deliver the right product. It's been more than 3 weeks they have not delivered the product or refund. They don't know how to deal the customer, they only know how to steal money.

Terrible customer service. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.I ordered furniture a MONTH in advance and scheduled a delivery date for a month later. I was moving from the west coast to DC and had multiple confirmations that my furniture would be ready and delivered on Oct 1. Oct 1 came and I waited all day and evening and the driver call me at 5pm and stated “it’s too late at night so we’ll deliver tomorrow”. So because I just moved to DC with nothing but my clothes and this furniture was absolutely needed, I had to go find a hotel room. Then the following day Oct 2nd they did indeed bring my furniture but they were missing my $800 coffee table. When I asked when it would come in the delivery person said “I don’t know you’ll have to wait and see”. Terrible professionalism and customer service. I was informed on Oct 6th that JMD themselves were going to the manufacturer to pickup my coffee table and they will call me for delivery on Oct 7th. That didn’t happen. So on Oct 8th I called for a refund and all of sudden they now have my coffee table and can deliver it that same night.When the delivery showed up, the delivery person repeatedly said “we’re only dropping it off and not setting it up”. So I said, “well I paid for some furniture to be drop off and others to be white glove setup and installations and you white glove installed ALL of the other furniture so why can’t you setup the coffee table since you were 8 days late with it”. He said “sorry my paper says drop off in your house and then we’re leaving”. This is once again terrible customer service and JMD should know that in these situations you should just do the right thing and setup the furniture that your customer waited 8 days after the delivery date for.The delivery drivers were unprofessional, lacked customer service skills, personal skills and empathy. I will not buy from them again and would not recommend you buy from them either. Take your business and your money somewhere else.
