Synchrony (Guitar Center credit card they push) didn't send us any paperwork when we opened the account, then after our rewards expired they sent us a letter acknowledging the oversight but refused to put the rewards worth $100 back on the account. But...you can't redeem the points without information on the statement...which they never sent. Now, conveniently they "lose connection" or their agents "don't have access to that information" every time I call. It is a promotional bait and switch at its finest.Does the store who pitched this card and set up the account during checkout help? Nope.

I've made multiple purchases at the Towson Store, guitars and amps, as well as a used PA board, and loads of accessories. If you just want to browse, they let you look as long as you want but, will help you find stuff as well. There's tons of great gear and the prices are good. Last week I was looking for information on some gear I was trying to hook up and "Dave B" was very helpful.

Went to the Towson store today.Going into any store in my condition (I need a walker to get around )Is a choir.I wasn't greeted with even a hello. I was in the market for an amp. I walked around the store pausing to test from spot to spot Three customers that could walk got help I got another taste of casper the ghost. I've bought guitars here years ago. I was interested in a boss catana amp but with no toes and only three fingers I couldn't budge it . I sat in the used gear section for about 10 minutes. After that it was apparent and feeling like a bother I left. Wow guess Im wrong about customer service. I guess this is the norm? Tried doing what you said and it just lead me in circles. You can call me to discuss it any further my # is 4433978409 signed carl no text if you need my email its
[email protected] I need a real person to talk to no email robots ps dont tell me you don't have a phone I would appreciate a call tomorrow.

Give them another chance! They went through some staffing/management changes I believe, and there has been a huge improvement as far as customer service goes! my last few visits have been very positive. There was a time not long ago that a trip here was a nightmare. They’re still a little understaffed, during busy times, but it’s nothing like it used to be.

I was at the Towson store just recently. Looking to buy a used Fender guitar Mexican made, ask the lead manager if he could take 10% off Rudely, that was a definite no, he would lose his job. So the next day I brought a another guitar in for trade in And was low bald, I know they have to make money, but that was an embarrassment. This guitar was an awesome shape. Another customer was there he said. Why are you trading that guitar in, its beautiful. I will say in the past 7 years I have spent a lot of money with Guitar Center and my gear card. But I would like to thank your store. This is just an incentive to pay my balance off on my gear card. And purchase guitars elsewhere. Thanks again, Guitar Center.

I wanted to stop in to try a variety of acoustic guitars and dropped in on a Saturday evening. I was able to play a wide variety of guitars from Yamaha to Martin and I liked the fact that the staff were helpful and let me do my thing. I decided to really think through my next guitar purchase and trying various instruments was helpful. I lost track of time, but will definitely go back for more exploration. The store had a wide range of guitars at every price point.

Barely any amps plugged in and no cables in sight. Demo guitars are all out of tune and messy. Staff was nice but not many of them there. Glen Bernie Guitar Center was better.

.............HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE............I purchased a Used Guitar here. It had been taken in at their North Carolina Store, and it was never checked. I Purchased the item online. Plenty of electrical and physical issues with the guitar.I Started to realize that once I got it home and started trying to play. It was having all sorts of crazy things going on. Took the guitar back to the store in Bartlett. It was supposed to have been checked and to get home once again same issues. I was having electronically. I took the guitar back to the store once again and got my money back on it this time. A month later I returned and the manager told me the guitar had been overpriced to begin with, and that the issues have been completely resolved. Would I be interested in repurchasing the guitar? Like a Nut. I did. However, the the guitar had not been resolved. I have a professional guitar repair person who went through it top to bottom and told me what the issues were. When I connected back with the Guitar Center. I was told I was unable to receive a Refund because my time had expired. (THE 2 Pickups That Were In This Guitar, We're Both "Bridge Pickups" ) which are not at all standard, and are possibly dangerous electronically, because of it creating a "Phaser Effect"Long story short. I had over $600 out-of-pocket expenses to repair this guitar, as well as add to purchased 2 brand new pick ups for the guitar that were to replace the train record that someone had installed... The two new pickups cost me a little over three hundred dollars. I took it as a Lesson Learned on the six hundred dollars because the company did not stand behind their equipment. When I asked, could they reimburse me, For the correct pickups that I had to replace in the guitar, again Out of My Own Pocket, They Refused Once again. This year, I have spent close to $7,000. dollars at The Guitar Center.NEVER AGAIN...... ps: This company is now owned by The Musicians Friend.. Food For Thought. Caution, when doing business with either of these. I had heard Horror Stories about the company, but until now, I had not experienced them..Now, almost $1,000.00 later, I Have.I WON'T BE BACKGuitar Center, shame on you.

Called to check how much money was on a gift card and they said they cannot tell you unless you come to the store. Drove all the way to the store with the gift card and they said they have no way to tell how much is on gift cards. Even though it was never used it is probably useless by now because guitar center takes money off your gift card every year until you spend it all. And how are you suppose to spend it if they are so incompetent that they cannot even look up the amount left on the card. What a scam. Also a worker at this guitar center said he always use to overcharge people and pocket the extra money here. This place does not deserve a single customer.
