I LOVED it when it was Fraternity Federal. A small local bank where everyone knew you and treated you very well. Then it was bought by Hamilton Bank and things were good but, it just wasn't the same. Then Orrstown bought it and now they've merged with Peoples Bank and it's terrible. At the beginning of November 2024, I put in a travel notice (my 4th one). Each time I get a declined notice for one reason or another. This last time I was traveling overseas and a purchased was declined twice and had to use a stored Apple Wallet card. When I left a nastygram in the bank's app, NO ONE responded. Later, I conveyed my disappointment to one of the branch managers and.....crickets. In the meantime, I've called the 888-677-7869 number 3 times and have had to hang up after waiting on hold for over 25 minutes each time. I've called the same branch manager twice and.....crickets. I guess Orrstown hasn't enough employees to cover phone calls. Oh, and here's the interesting part of the travel notice story. Upon returning to the states, I discovered the bank paid the vendor 3 days after the declined purchases. So, two drinks cost $40. Do you think they'll put back the $20 into my account? At some point in the near future, I'm sure I'll find another bank I can count on.
