A very very honest shop. I can't rate this place high enough. This is my go-to shop but a recent short story:
2 tires fixed. 2 nails. 1 hour. $80. Called 1.5 hours before they close on Saturday. As I said, top notch.

Simply fantastic auto service! My experience with them has been nothing short of outstanding. Over the past 4 years, their actions have demonstrated that they are experts at diagnosing, estimating, servicing and repairing my high mileage vehicle. Their prices are very fair prices for the quality of service delivered. They complete the work on or even ahead of time. I couldn’tbe more happy with Hollenshade’s!

I am always been impressed with how transparent and knowledgeable the staff has consistently been over last decade.
Prior to internet reviews I recall as a child many people recommending this honest shop in Towson to my mom.
Now as an adult I regret not coming to them sooner.
I took my van to a local shop but still encountering creaking noises and found they missed some obvious cracks in motor mount.
I then went to Honda dealer for engine mount replacement and for them to check out the creaking noise.
Dealer was a waste of time and energy.
They overfilled brake and power steering fluids
I went to Hollenshades. I gave them list of 3 things wanted to check. They listened and found the issue and also pointed another issue that does not need attention now.

Any time my family needs car work, we give Hollanshade's Auto Service a call.
Why? Well, for one, Hollanshade's does it right. We've been there when we've had issues with our cars and when we were just being proactive and doing some preventative things. Each time, we've left Hollenshade's pleased with the result.
Value. Hollenshade's has very reasonable prices. They charge what they say they will and their estimates always come in lower than what I had in mind. If something comes up during their repairs, they call before doing the work. There is no final bill shock here.
Ease. Hollenshade's offers late night/early morning drop off. You can schedule appointments online or by calling. You can also drop in if you are having an emergency.
Years of Service. Hollenshade's has been doing it for a long time. If they can't provide the service (we needed our window tinting lightened and they don't do that) they can offer recommendations for who can.
Crowded. Hollenshade's is always crowded. Their parking lot and street beside the business is full of cars that are being worked on or have been worked on. When I called for an appointment, they informed me that it would be three days before I could get in. Why is this a good thing? People are showing up and returning when they need help. Hollenshade's must be doing something right then.
My family and I will continue using Hollenshade's. If you want a place that is easy to schedule appointments for, reliable and provide good value, perhaps Hollenshade's should be on your short list as well.

This is my new go-to auto shop. Just moved to the area and I heard wonderful reviews. Made an appointment online to drop my car off for a state inspection. They were able to replace the items necessary to pass inspection. Dropped my car off and picked it up on the same day. They drove my car around and had it ready after I finished paying for the services and obtaining the inspection paperwork. Really appreciate an outstanding mechanic shop. Will definitely be coming back. Please keep up the outstanding service.

I took my friend’s infinity Q50 for repair after safety inspection at another shop. They fix it very fast (especially for a shop that busy), and pointed out that the alleged leak of the power steering rack is simply nonexistent, which saved my friend about 2k. Through out the whole process Eric has been very friendly and professional. My only complaint is that I called and had to wait a couple days for an appointment. May be they should expand or open new locations.

I've been going to Hollenshades since I was 16, and that was 30 years ago! They are fantastic at what they do. They know me and treat me like family and they always do an amazing job at a great price! I recommend them to anyone in need of auto services.
