Great resource for learning at home, teachers, and supplemental. Prices definitely higher than online and other places but they have special days with free workshops for the kids and discounts

My new favorite place to visit when buying birthday gifts for my daughter's friends or to show appreciation to her amazing teachers! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable of the store, and offer great guidance on what toys or resources are appropriate for differing ages and skill levels. I also just learned that they do monthly activities in store and can't wait to bring my daughter - I know she'll have such a great time!

I’ve been shopping at Lakeshore for a few years , as I have been teaching for 4 years . I usually shop at the Lakeshore location in Virginia , but today I decided to visit the Lakeshore location in Towson Maryland . Upon me entering the store I was impressed with how spacious the store was . My mother and I were greeted by an older Caucasian woman.
Upon my mother and I browsing the store for a few items for my classroom. We were constantly followed by the Caucasian workers in the store , who pretended to straighten up merchandise. However, when my mother and I moved to another aisle the workers would move as well . I noticed that the Caucasian shoppers were freely moving around the store , browsing and having pleasant conversations with the staff. Which was a totally different experience than the one my mother and I were having .
During my check out process , I was helped by a young Caucasian woman who asked me various questions. She asked me “ If I was a teacher ? “ When I responded “ Yes “ , She responded in a very sarcastic tone “ Oh really , then what district do you work in ?” When I responded “ Washington DC “ She responded, “ Oh yeah , you’re not tax exempt “ . The interaction was very unpleasant as well as uncomfortable.
I have never had an unpleasant experience shopping at the Lakeshore location in Virginia. As my mother and I have shopped there for a few years to purchase items for my class .We are able to shop freely without feeling watched and looked upon as thieves . I am an African American woman who spends her hard earned money just let every other teacher , and I deserve to have a pleasant shopping experience just like every other teacher who enters into any Lakeshore establishment.
My mother and I drove over an hour to visit the Lakeshore location in Towson Maryland , and we have decided that we will not be returning to this location anymore . I feel like the staff at this location should have a professional development meeting concerning Equity pretending to customers .

The staff at this store is wonderful. I visited today, 7/18 to pick up an order. I needed to return some items and find a new idea for my bulletin board. Everyone was helpful giving ideas and checking on me while I walked around the store. Two young ladies who I think were in training helped me with some ideas. It was a great day and I’m ready to decorate. Thanks so much.

I have not been to this store since my student teaching days, but a great spot for projects, educational toys and more.I needed some brown paint for a project. I was painting a tree for a Trunk or Treat event at my church, and Lakeshore had the size of paint I needed and was just the right cost.I was able to find what I needed, even though I haven't been here in a long time. What made this shopping experience so great, was the nice man that assisted me with my purchase. He was so helpful and kind. I mean he made me smile. That I was overjoyed that he helped me again when I returned the 2nd bottle of paint that I didn't use.He surely must of heard of the saying, Be the reason someone smile!I hope Lakeshore will keep this sweet guy around and wish other places had people like him. I give him 10 stars for the best customer service.

The employees are very helpful and there are tons of things for teachers and students. My daughter is a first year teacher and she needed everything! We didn't find everything here, though... but close enough! Plentiful parking, ample selection, and a clean and organized store. Much to love here. The only thing that takes a star away is that there are some items that are particularly junky and overpriced (a small cardboard treasure chest for $45??) and would not survive for long in an active classroom.

It was like heaven for homeschooling when I walked in. They have everything you can think of. Staff was super nice and helpful. kept checking to see if I needed help. If you are homeschooling, this is the best place to get supplies and even decorate your school space. Would recommend!!!

I came here during the day and the store was fairly empty since this is a teacher store, all the teachers are working. The store was moderately stock however they use to sell classroom furniture and in the past I got an amazing deal on their chairs which online sells for $39 but I paid around $10 or $12 each however since the pandemic they haven't had any furniture. The clerks were very friendly.
