About Owl's Nest Farm
Owl's Nest Farm is a CSA offering fresh, flavorful, and delicious vegetables. Members receive a share each week, with lush produce including greens galore, a veritable bounty of tomatoes, peppers, squash, winter squashes, and root vegetables. Shares are customizable with both full and half options. The quality and quantity are consistently impressive, featuring standard vegetables plus delightful new choices, with pea shoots, carrots, arugula, kale, and sweet potatoes noted as favorites. A big part of the experience is getting to know the farm and its team through friendly conversations at pickup and detailed weekly updates and recipes. Pickup is a highlight, with convenient locations in many DC neighborhoods including Mt Pleasant, Columbia Heights, Petworth, and Brentwood. The farm also hosts open houses to see the greenhouse, fields, and operations. Owl's Nest is a worker-owned cooperative, treating workers and the land with dignity and respect through their environmental practices. Several add-ons are available to enhance shares, including eggs, meat, fruit, mushrooms, local grains, and a solidarity add-on highlighting local producers. These extras, along with occasional surprises like seedlings, mean members can do most of their grocery shopping through the farm. It is a well-priced, quality CSA that is highly recommended for anyone in the DC area.

What's not to love? Supporting a woman-owned farm, eating locally, convening with neighbors, and enjoying excellent produce! We've enjoyed both our winter and spring/summer/fall shares for two years now. Highly recommend!
