James and team took excellent care for our local move! They used care with every piece of our furniture and belongings. Having moved many times I did expect some damage but these guys ensured we had none! We are pleased to have supported this local black-owned business! 11/10 highly recommend.

I ended up going with Anchors Away after researching several moving companies; the reviews alone had me sold. James and his team’s professionalism and work ethic were top notch, (i.e., no profanity, no smoking, no type of disrespect) they made sure my belongings were handled with care and everything arrived at the new location secured and undamaged. If you are looking for a reliable moving company that will handle your items with care I highly recommend contacting Anchors Away Moving Company you will not be disappointed.

Moving team was polite and professional. They completed the job in great time and were willing to ensure that all items were properly cared for. They were also appreciative of the water and ice cream treats that were given due to humidity and severe heat tempartures. My family is looking forward to using them again for moving services of our extended family members in the fall.

JB Redmond and his moving team was fabulous. They came at 7:30 in the morning and had everything in our two level 4 bedroom 3 bath house, packed, loaded, transported and offloaded at a storage facility, by 6 pm. When our new home is ready, they will transport it.
Their rates were very reasonable as well.
They were very respectful and careful, to say the least.

We are so pleased with the moving help we received from Anchors Away Movers. We moved a four bedroom home that we lived in for a long time. So much to move!! Anchors Away took great care with our MANY cherished belongings. They were professional, courteous, and kind. Would definitely recommend them.

They were late, broke our things, and have not responded to our damage claim for 14 weeks. Hopefully they will resolve our claim soon.Update: Another month has passed since I received a response, prompted by this public post. Despise promising a 24 hour follow up, no-one from the company has provided an update.

Thankful to have had them be able to move me. Usually i move myself but unable to due to injury this time. They were very responsive and communication was on point. Finished the job in a timely manor and made sure my house was set up and complete with everything how i wanted it. Will definitely use their services again!!

We would highly recommend Anchors Away Moving Company for any type of move. James has created a moving company with truly professional, respectful and hard-working employees. From the initial scheduling with Angelo throughout the entire move, we were treated with compassion, professionalism and respectful customer service. On very short notice, James performed a video walk thru of our son's home to determine supplies needed and the time it would take to complete the move. On day 1, Ty and Kizon met with my husband to pack and wrap ensuring that everything was ready for the truck. Both were professional and quick. Ty, Edwin and young Devin (who kept up with the more experienced guys and was learning how to be professional and respectful) came in the next day to load the truck. Hard work packing the truck and making 2 delivery stops then unloading showed how good they are. Every item was handled with care. Work was done quickly. Another highlight is the military discount made on an already reasonable rate. We could go on and on but the bottom line is Anchors Away Moving Company is by far the one to pick for any moving needs. Being a military family who has moved a lot, they are #1. Thank you James for going above and beyond after the move was over to help us locate something in the storage facility. This company will go far because of your determination to ensure your employees are professional, respectful and hard-working and customers needs come first. All of you deserve high kudos!
