The store is good. I feel like their selection of good, better, best shoe brands has gone down, and often I can find the same shoe online for a bit cheaper, e.g. we went in the other day looking for mens hiking boots. Found a good selection in styles, brands, and sizes. However, I found the same shoe on Amazon for $10 cheaper. Workers are always friendly.

I have been to this location several times to donate shoes. It's always neat and the sales associates are friendly. This is a smaller space compared to the previous location. Cannot comment on merchandise selections.

I went to return a pair of shoes to this DSW (in Waldorf, MD) that had a manufacturing defect. The manager was very rude and dismissive and refused to refund the money. She also told me that she hoped I wrote bad reviews and was glad I would not shop there anymore. I was very polite and in turn she was rude multiple times. I then took the shoes to anther DSW and the manager there agreed the shoes were unwearable and cheerfully refunded my money. There was no reason for the first manager to be rude and we will never shop at this DSW again. I will happily drive to give business to the store where the manager treats customers with respect and professionalism, unlike the manager of the Waldorf, MD DSW store.

Purchased a pair of shoes here that fell apart after one wear (high heels I wore for 3 hours that cost $100). The manager was extremely unhelpful and said they're was nothing I could do except call the manufacturer. I did and they said it was DSWs responsibility. I brought them in again to return and the manager was very rude and said that it was not her problem and refused to help me further. She was rude and could not even be bothered to reach out to corporate for me.

I'll start this review with that this place was fine overall, it's just not fine for me. If you've got a standard shoe size and you want sneakers or heels, you'll probably find what you're looking for. But if you've got a weird size—wide or extra wide or just not within the Average curve, you probably want to skip this one. They've got a weirdly low number of staff, so you can't ever really get help because the staff are tied up at checkout basically all the time. That's a management issue, not the fault of your average front facing employee. I did notice that since the move they don't seem to have those little disposable socks anywhere anymore, which makes me feel pretty Ick about trying on shoes. But it works out, since I have the curse of wide, small feet, and they simply don't carry anything in my size. I went here to try and find some simple, masculine shoes for a formal occasion and even if I did fit normal sizes, I can't say I would have left with anything anyways; the men's selection is tiny compared to the rest of the store, and most of it just isn't suited to a more somber affair. This one's a pass for me.

I've never been a huge fan of DSW. Regardless of location, I just never find anything for myself. I stopped by this fairly new location a whim just to see if my mind could be changed. It hasn't. I give up. While the store was neat and well-stocked, the prices just always seem ridiculous. Even the clearance item markdowns weren't all that impressive. It really bothered me the number of soles that it looked like someone had been dancing around the store while wearing the shoes. On another note: The service was commendable and the cashier was helpful. Although I found what I was looking for, I doubt I'll return. __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

They had a great selection with affordable pricing on name brand shoes. There was adequate inventory per size as well, even for harder to find extra wide width. The store is clean and well organized.
