I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. I had my husband's 50th birthday event here. The Mallard's were warm and approachable during booking. On the day of the event, the staff Kim and Stephan were helpful and professional. The banquet space was beautifully decorated. It's equipped with a beautiful foyer, large stage, decorated hall with mirrors, lights, and chandeliers. The bathrooms were clean and stockedwith soap toilet paper. The bar area was spacious with a lounge area that had a built in fireplace and T.V. I would definitely recommend this gem to anyone having an event.

I just would like to say, my wife and I were very please with the ambiance here for my cousin baby shower, today January 28th, 2024. We met and talked to the owner Mr. Mallard. He was very professional and pleasant. We would like to say thank you to the Mallards. The banquet hall was very clean and bright and a spacious kitchen. Overall experience 5 stars.

Life's Journey Banquet was truly an amazing venue. The Mallard's are amazing people with good energy and good vibes and you can feel it as soon as you walk in! I Definitely recommend!

We recently attended a baby shower there and were so surprised at how lovely it was. We didn't even know the place was there in that location, which is 1 minute from Rte 301 but in a quiet area away from all the traffic. There's a foyer area where posed pictures could be taken with the decorative backdrop, the banquet space, then a back area with a small lounge where the kitchen is and the food can be served buffet style if desired and you don't want the buffet in the event space. There were about 85 guests plus large gift tables and dessert table in the event space for our event. The owners were very engaging throughout the event and the baked chicken and mac n cheese were yummy. We would definitely patronize them again for events with about 100 guests or less.

What an exciting time we had at Life's Journey's Banquet Hall. They were so flexible and very helpful in helping us plan a 60th birthday celebration. The location is convenient, the place very upscale with elegance from the doorway to the back lounge area. I was very surprised by the space and capacity the location holds. Another great feature is they allowed us to have our own caterer. The kitchen area was perfect for her and her staff and made serving guest easy. It was a pleasure working with them and can't wait to host our next event there.

If no SELECTION of stars was an option that would be my selection.Just weeks before my milestone birthday (50th) my husband received a phone call explaining that the venue is no longer available. It apparently was inadvertently double booked for AMY.My husband (reserved and paid for the venue March of 2018) eight months before the date of the scheduled event and paid in full.Very unexpectedly, no longer the plan. I was shocked, I was stunned, I didn't know what to think when that happened," had to lose money on a caterer, DJ, bartender (status on alcohol license dishonest like the business's practice) Charles County does not know this business is being used for social events involving alcohol so you are taking a chance."They took my money and offered an apology. I guess the apology made them feel better . "It really infuriates me we planned in advance to make this happen made an effort to support a small business and ....TWO weeks before Christmas "We were calling around to other venues that were all booked -- We had put out more than $4,000 and had no place to go and could not be refunded." MEMORIES of my 50th are the family and friends who lost money on airline and hotel reservations (non refundable) and the poor business practices of Mr. and Mrs. Mallard .MEMORY of having to cancel my Milestone celebration. You only turn 5O once. DO NOT DO IT!

Shout out to Mr.Mallard and Mrs. Mallard , I had an amazing time for me and my moms Birthday event , Mr.Rob the DJ ???? was amazing and helpful, he did more then DJ , also the two males working that was apart of the the staff , was very helpful, I felt like the gentlemen’s was more like my security! They was checking doors for safety ????, also temperature ???? checks , checking on me making sure I was happy and enjoying myself , I got called Ms. ❤️ They very respectful I felt very safe , it’s beyond words of this place and the staff, the New renovation was perfect because it match my birthday colors ❤️Every large event , I will be here ❤️ I want the same staff members! ????????????????????Thanks everyone !

Beautiful venue ! Absolutely stunning when you walk in & Very clean!! Mr. Mallard is very kind.My only issue was he did not keep his word when setting up the tables & chairs that came included with table cloths & seat covers which is what I paid for, for my baby shower. Which caused my event planner to have to set that up & this caused my baby shower to start an hour late. He assured us this would be done & my planner gave him the layout of how she wanted it in advance. They didn’t let my guest in on time because of this & nothing was done to compensate me at all for his mistake! However when I had a mishap with 2 of his table cloths we did use he kept pressing me for $40 to replace them! I was in the middle of cleaning the venue up so I couldn’t do it right away but did pay him before I left the building. It annoyed me because I paid over $1500 & kept being pressed about $40 When they cost $20 for 2 pack on Amazon! The staff that worked my event was very kind & helpful no complaints there. Also I had a bassinet delivered as a gift & couldn’t get it home because it was custom made for me & he refused to allow me to pick it up first thing in the morning because other guests before me never came back to get their stuff. Also he told me I couldn’t have any fog in his building months prior to my event but I seen a party that had it 3 weeks prior to my event that’s pretty upsetting! Overall not a bad experience I just wish I was actually treated as “family” like he loves to say when you make a down payment to secure your event with him.
