Today I received services at this establishment, I was more than disappointed. No one greeted me when I walked in, I should have left then. I asked for cornrows and was given an outlandish price when I asked for two. I ended up getting 6 braids for $60.00, I would like to elaborate on that for a moment, (Hot Mess) none of the braids are the same size, and they were clearly not what I asked for. I am truly not happy. The lady braiding my hair was so rude and nasty to me. Also, as customers, we need to stop letting the braiders rip through are hair with the brush and comb breaking it out. Unfortunately, I was treated this way today. I will be reporting this horrible service to state board. Meanwhile, I have to walk around looking like a fool, I really want my money back.I asked for a refund and it was declined, so I beg you to be very careful with the scammers at this location. Though $60 dollars don't seem to be much, it's my hard earned money and I only wanted what I paid for, the lady braiding my hair only used half a bag of her. Their scam is to overcharge and use as little product as possible. I will never let anybody scam me and treat me so badly again. Again I beg you to be alert and careful of this Wickedness

I made an appointment online to get feed in cornrows. I get to the shop for my appointment, however, they tell me that nobody can do my hair because it's only two people there. Well, that's not my problem! If you take online appointments, then you should honor your appointments. If you don't have people here who can do the services then at least give the customer a call to let them know that you can honor their appointment. The two woman there act like they couldn't care less about me taking my time off my job to get my hair done. Don't worry I will never come back. SN....the owner calls me and says, "sorry mama". Really! That's what you think of us black women. But we keep patronizing the services that keep disrespecting us.

The owner was sent the following picture for a price check ($200) prior to me coming all the way from Baltimore. I did not receive this size and they were done sloppy. They tried to argue me down about the size I REQUESTED. I showed the picture to the stylist she did one braid the size I requested and the rest were a chunky stiff mess. When I requested the stylist take them out and give me a refund I was then offered $40 as compensation before I came back in and waited to get my hair taken down. While getting my hair taken down the stylist stopped taking my hair down and did someone else's hair and made me wait the whole time she did his hair. I ended up taking about 75% of my own hair down. I wouldn't recommend at all

I went to get my hair in one style and they did a completely DIFFERENT style than requested because they did not know how to do cornrows. Then LIED about my request to the manager/owner who asked why I was not satisfied. I don't know how they call themselves #1 in Waldorf. Horrible customer service. Poor time management and lacks ethics! I had to give at least 1 star!

Made an 8:40a reservation to have my daughters hair braided earlier this week. We arrived at our reserved time and all of the salon chairs were already full, and the owner casually asked us to return in 3-hours because "...they are very busy today." Very unprofessional with no concern for our time. Won't be going back there ever or recommending Kay-Z to any of our friends or family!

The owner of the shop did my hair. She was very kind, sweet and had a wonderful personality and she was very welcoming. She did a outstanding job on my hair in a timely matter and she kept me laughing. ??????Service: Twist braids

I booked an appointment for senegalese, I booked online. Showing up to my appointment they told me there was no one to service senegalese and I should get box braids instead. How unprofessional!! They will never get a dime of my money. They were very very rude!!! After I told them no thank you, they decided to call my phone 10 times. I will definitely find another hair braiding place.

Have canceled on me two separate times at the last minute with no reason. Booked weeks ahead so I could go out of town with a fresh hair style and in august and October I received a cancellation late at night through email. My hair looks good and lasts when they actually keep the appointment.

I made an appointment and they delivered just as I wanted. I will definately be returning (this is my 4th trip) and look forward to the outcome. I feel good and all the compliments are awesome.

This was my first time here, as well as, my first experience with braids. I attempted to do my research on methods but didn’t get it right. Let me begin with the owner was amazing. I only wish she would’ve done my hair. I had Dee Dee who wasn’t the friendliest but I delt with it. I showed her a picture of shoulder length hair.?and expressed that my hair is very fine and thin, and that I didn’t want long heavy hair. When she was done, I noticed it was long and very loose on the ends. She stated I’m not done so I kindly remained quiet. In the end she wrapped it in a ponytail so I honestly didn’t see how long it was. Once I got home I was devastated at how heavy my hair was and the length. I will be contacting the owner first thing this morning to see how we can resolve this.I’m praying for a positive outcome and will update this post.Service: Braids

You can see a pattern in the reviews that I wish I had looked at before. I booked - 30 days in advance--- a "back to school" hair appt for my daughter knowing this last week of August would be a busy period on the weekend before school starts. I got an appt confirmation right away, and I got a text confirmation the day before the appt. However, 2 hours after the text reminder on day before appt -- I then got an email saying plainly "sorry we have to cancel." [period] -- No offer to reschedule. No explanation. Just yanked my daughter's appt that she'd been waiting a MONTH for and that she wanted to have close to the first day of school so her hair would be fresh, of course. When I got the email I began calling -- no answer. I knew they were open, so that got me incensed. I was about to drive up there when I finally reached someone on another number posted online. HE was able to get my daughter's appt re-instated. Fine. So we show up at 7am next day and the woman was so slow, rude, just -- I can't even put into words -- she took 7 HOURS to do a set of teenager knotless braids. Another customer showed up at 9am and was done at 12. Customers showed up at 10am and were finishing same time as us -and we had been there since 7am. It was just a horrible experience. This woman is the so-called manager and I'm telling you -- DO NOT get in her chair. People will be coming and going and you will still be sitting there. She's watching TV, she's chatting on the headset phone, she's sipping her drink. AND NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD. The other women were hustling - OK - -getting it done. It's a shame I have to put this place on blast because of this one lazy person. I don't know if she was mad that my appt got re-instated or what. She was trying to do someone else's box braids at same time. They clearly do not know how to operate their appointment system. Do not think that because you booked an appt that it's all good. The insult to injury was at the end when she charged me substantially MORE for the same hairdo my daughter has gotten from there multiple times. She said may daughter's braids were long and I said will let her stand next to the child over there with the same length -- how much is she paying? [no response] Oh and then -- no longer taking a card only cash or cashapp -- since when? Where's that posted? [Oh ma'am our credit card machine is broke]. And then no one could explain what cash app they use. It was just awful. Like others have said -- not going there again. If you MUST GO I suggest you ask for Ginni/Jenny - she was hustling.

Horrible customer service..... I had a scheduled a appointment ... I arrived at the salon for my appointment (after previously calling to confirm before I made the drive there). Upon me arriving, there were 3 stylists and 3 clients being serviced, I expressed I was arriving for my scheduled appointments. One of the stylist told me to "hold on". i heard her making a phone call as I waited. She then told me to call their business number. i was confused. I asked her , "why am I calling this number?". Her reply, "just call." So I proceeded to call the business line and a woman answered the phone ( I assume now that she was possibly the owner or manger). I expressed to her I was at the shop for my appointment and she told me my appointment was canceled because they had no more braiders because some braiders called out. she then proceeded to say that they contacted me, which was a lie no. She said they sent an email canceling my appointment. The only emails and text I received the day prior to my appointment were confirmations for my appointment. She did not even offer to accommodate my appointment To reschedule for another date. She showed no consideration or empathy for my time being wasted. and had no remorse for not contacting me to communicate the cancellation. I definitely do not recommend and will not be going back.

Tried to give them a chance after the first visit , when I walked in nobody even swyd hello and they all just stare at you like you not supposed to be there....try to set appointments snd get a run around, Rude and they are not the nicest , so I go where my business is appreciated.

I booked an appointment online and they confirmed my appointment several times. I had to take off work for this appointment and when I get to the shop I'm told the girl who does corn rolls is not in today. So inconvenient. I will never go there again.
