Dollar General Westover provides everyday essentials at affordable prices, including food, snacks, health and beauty items, cleaning supplies, basic apparel, housewares, seasonal products, paper goods, and more from trusted brands and private labels. The store offers savings through the myDG program and sells Tobacco. Customers appreciate that the store is often clean and well-organized, with shelves stocked and staff who are friendly and helpful, especially under the new management. However, some experiences at other locations highlight issues such as long wait times at checkout and unfriendly staff. Concerns about store maintenance, like outside lighting and freezer repairs, have been raised. While prices are generally considered high, the store remains a convenient option for everyday shopping needs.
Nice clean place and the staff is always pleasant. Nothing is a dollar anymore
August 2026
We stopped by the Dollar General in Westover MD on July 26. It was the cleanest Dollar General store we have ever been in. We travel a lot, it was also our anniversary Kim the store manager was so nice, friendly and helpful.
September 2024
Went to the dollar general in Eden md and everything in the store was organized and clean, however no one was at the registers to check me out for 5 minutes and when he did come he was not pleasant. Did not greet or smile. Left feeling like I won't be returning to that store again.
