Dear Karen (you mentioned you’re the store manager, so I’m directing this review to you),
When a manager shows a dismissive attitude toward customer concerns, it unfortunately sets the tone for the rest of the team. One of your associates immediately told me you didn’t carry the product I was looking for without even letting me finish what I was looking for. We had been checking multiple stores and were hopeful Dick’s would have it.
Thankfully, another associate nearby took initiative and said, “Let’s look.” We found four different brand options on the shelf. (I hope you appreciate your hardworking customer centered associates like her).
When on my way out, I tried to let the first associate know, thinking it might help her assist future customers, she brushed it off with, “I’m cashier.” You were present during this interaction and reflected the same indifference.
I hope your supervisor demonstrates a more customer-centered approach than what I experienced from you and your associate.
We are happy to have Dick's in our neighborhood and hope the service improves.

Not one to write reviews but for this particular store I have to. The staff and management included are lousy. I came to purchase a bike but was told to come the following day between 9am-1pm for a technician to be present to authorize sale. I paid no mind to and decided to follow their instructions. I show up the next day and the bike I was set on buying was gone??? I paid it no mind and asked a staff member for assistance, again I got the same runaround and was told to come in on a later date. Supposedly a manager is authorized to make sale but I never saw one show up… all employees are just hanging about running the clock again MANAGEMENT INCLUDED.

I guess they just sit on the clock and do nothing in here. Sitting in the cleats section for 30 mins. No help. Ridiculous. Is good customer service being trained anywhere. It's ridiculous.
And they claim being short staffed but have police staffed to just stand in the store for what???? Ridiculous. Never again. Footlocker or anywhere else from now on bc this is absolutely the reason why people don't shop in stores anymore. Disgusting

Terrible return experience. First they couldn’t find the receipt in their system so I had to call the 800 customer line to get it emailed to me. So far, 30 minutes wasted. Then one of the shirts I wanted to return wasn’t on the receipt so they offered me a “no-receipt refund”: $3 for a $38 shirt. Right. I’m definitely taking that deal. The manager at the Wheaton MD store refused to look for any another solution. So I called customer service back and after another 60 minutes wasted, they told the manager to give me an equal no-receipt exchange. Why the manager didn’t offer that solution in the first place is anyone’s guess but my guess is it’s because his attitude matched the store’s name.

Terrible staff; horrible experience -- certainly not the brightest bulbs in the box. If they can't admit to lying to you about a product they allege to have in their inventory, only to waste your time going to their store and find out they don't have that product at all.... then it's clear cut incompetence. They lied to me about having three wheeled in line skates available at their store (rollerblades), let alone in my size....
and also suggested that they didn't have any other skate types available, but the three wheeled in line skates, and not to worry because they had plenty of them in stock. I needed to be able to try them on to determine the right fit; that was whole reason why I drove far and away to come to this specific store. I get to the store and not only find out that they don't have any three wheeled in line skates, but they have the other varieties of skates, which they'd told me over the phone earlier in the day, in very scarce supply, that they allegedly didn't have.... lying is bad enough, but not knowing the difference between three wheeled skates and four wheeled skates is pathetic. Don't ever trust this store's staff; they try to shrug off such mistakes and just don't care about you. Do yourself a favor, and don't bother with them....

I came here to this location, with fishing being a first time hobby. Malik was an informative salesman in the rods, he was such a great salesman he told me exactly what i needed as a first time fisher and encouraged me to come back if i had more questions. People like Malik is why people shop in person rather than online

Very nice, patient and helpful associates in the shoe department and on the floor. Then there's the check out cashier with the big false eyelashes who looked pissed when I bothered to approach the counter.
