I avoided this place like the plague during 2023 as the staff was extremely unprofessional. I decided in the new year I would give it one more go before completely writing Visionworks off. And I’m so glad I gave them a second chance. I went in 2 weeks ago with my children as they needed exams for school and new glasses.They have a new in person doctor who is very quick, knowledgeable, and efficient! The young ladies in the front were super sweet and eager to help. Their manager Abena I believe her name is also made sure I was happy with everything at the end. The office is also a lot cleaner. I’m glad things are changing. So thank you for the different experience.

It took forever to get my vision test done, I showed up on time but still had to wait 40 minutes before anything, then another 40 minutes to talk to the actual Dr. (virtual).Once my order was in, I was only handed the trial boxes not my actual order, technician didn't know what boxes were actually for me.Save your time and go elsewhere.

Genuinely terrible, nobody to address to and ask questions. Waited an hour and a half without having any questions answered by staff. About 4 or 5 people just walked out not including me from having to wait so long. Would rate it 0 stars if I could. Dreadful visit that accomplished nothing but waste my time and the time of everyone else. Place needs to fix its system or make space for a better competitor.

Showed up for my 3pm appointment and the store was closed. There was no sign or phone call canceling the appointment. Would never go back. This is the store at 3pm when the rest of the mall is open. I tried calling the store and Visionworks main number.

This was an awful experience. I wish I could give zero stars. The manager/supervisor openly berated a staff member in front of customers. He snapped at the staff member several times and was very sharp with another staff member about a break. This made things very awkward when he I was working with the manager to get my glasses. He was okay with me but I was very uncomfortable. While assisting me, it seemed as if he was more concerned about the staff member's performance than helping me. The glasses I selected were unavailable, but the hold remained on my insurance. Additionally, there was another customer waiting to pick up glasses, but he was too busy further berating staff to see to the customer. When I returned to the shop to discuss an insurance issue, another staff member (Jermaine) was very rude and dismissive when I tried to explain the situation. He raised his voice while and argued at me about the insurance. He treated me in a manner inconsistent with good customer service. I also found the selection of glasses lacking but that might have been okay if the staff was better.

Totally unreliable office. I received a call last December canceling my appointment about 1 hour before it was scheduled. They offered me a virtual appointment. How do you examine someone's eyes virtually? I made an appointment in Rockville. 2 weeks ago I made an appointment for today December 21 and I received a call 1.5 hours before my appointment today canceling my appointment again. No doctor! If I had taken off from work I would be livid. Luckily I was able to book an appointment at LensCrafters for today. I will block every message from them.

This place is a cluster____. My husband went there twice to get a renewed prescription for contact lenses and has twice failed. The first time, the only staff member had an emergency and closed the store. The second time, they couldn't get their equipment to work and the manager was berating the staff. They are telehealth-only, and the telehealth physician didn't read my husband's paperwork, so he had to repeat all his tests. Eventually they gave him a referral to the Fenton Street location where he can see an in-person doc. Entirely too much hassle just to get some contact lenses!

My husband tried twice to get new contact lenses at this location and has twice failed. The first time, the only person running the store had an emergency and they were closed. The second time, they struggled to work their equipment and computer system. There is no optometrist here - just a telehealth doc - and the doc didn't read my husband's paperwork so he had to do his tests again. The manager at this store was also berating his staff the whole time. After wasting 2 hours, it was concluded that hubby needed to see a doc in person at another location. I'm going to ask my husband to reschedule at a Pearl Vision or other clinic. This is entirely too much hassle just to get fresh contact lenses.

I ordered my glasses 22 days ago, they are late 10 days according to the original delivery date, and they can’t tell me when it will be ready.I have visited the store twice after I order them: the first time was on a Saturday and had a sign “see you on Monday”, the second time they said the glassess “most likely” would be ready next day and a week has passed since and nothing.I check their website regularly and I only get a “order pending” status and “expected completion date unavailable” message.Finally I called their customer service number and what they did was to transfer with the same store manager I had already talked in person.He said that they had a backlog in the frames I selected, asked me to go to the store again and select different frames and couldn’t give me an estimate on when I would have my glassess would be ready after that.Awful customer service.

Awful, awful, and continuously getting more awful.The kid at the front desk gets everything wrong, talks about Youtube and sneakers whilst ignoring his work, and asked me for my name and address a good 5 times because he kept getting distracted. The glasses came out wrong anyways. I made an appointment for an Rx Check, and an hour before the appointment they call to cancel. When can I reschedule? Their systems are down, I should call in a week. Okay, so I call in a week and they don't answer. I call many times over the next few days and have to wait for hours, eventually someone picks up and says he has too much work right now and I should call tomorrow. Okay, so the next day I go directly to the store to just return the glasses. There is a sign: "Out for lunch". It is 1:00pm so I go to Costco, I come out and they are still jot in. I go get lunch, come back and they are still "out to lunch". This is at 4:00pm.I hope they go out of business soon.

this place used be good, but employees are lack of training. run extra trips but still not get new glasses/contacts. will go back Rockville pike store.

The only place where I got the right glasses since I always get blurry ones or those that cause you a terrible migraine. Also, they have a wide variety of frames to choose from. I definitely recommend this place
