Wheaton Ice Arena is a popular indoor ice rink that offers a fun and affordable experience for skaters of all ages. The rink is well-regarded for its cleanliness, particularly the locker room bathrooms, which are noted as some of the cleanest in the area. Public skate sessions are priced at $8 for two hours, with skate rentals available for $4. However, rental skates are described as worn down and not sharpened, so beginners may want to invest in their own equipment for better safety. The arena can get crowded on weekends, especially with kids' birthday parties and lessons, but it serves as a central meeting place for friends and families. Some visitors have noted that public skate times are sometimes taken over by freestyle skaters, which can limit available space. Additionally, there are concerns about rink door safety and visibility on the ice during games due to lighting issues. Despite these drawbacks, many appreciate the staff's kindness and patience, especially when working with younger skaters. Overall, Wheaton Ice Arena provides a decent ice skating experience, with great summer camps and a friendly atmosphere, though improvements could enhance the overall visit.
The kids are always happy to come here, and the parking is great.

No refunds. Not even after you pay and then realize you need to rent the kid assist equipment and they are fully rented out to a birthday party. Maybe get more equipment on hand or create some flexibility to the policy. Waste of $ and 1st attempt to get 4yo on the ice.
