AmeiGas charged me $619 for 20 minutes worth of work that was caused by their original exterior gas pipe installation into my newly built home. They failed to put pipe sealer on pipe at an exterior regulator causing a small gas leak that I called in. A customer service representative told me that AmeriGas would take responsibility for any leak from their original installation no matter how much time had passed.
Today is 9/13/24 , I filed dispute #876135 10 days ago on September 3, 2024 at 1:25 pm via telephone call to “Deanna” who stated that I would receive a call from a District supervisor within 24 hours. It’s been 2 weeks and no telephone call has been received. I’ve been answering all calls which has been a burden since most calls are robocalls.
The outrageous $619 repair bill is the responsibility of Amerigas since it was a result of a faulty original installation by Amerigas. They are ignoring my complaints by not responding and should be avoided at all costs if you are considering using them for any installation, service or propane delivery.
Still waiting for the telephone call.
PS: they invited me to share this information with a link.

You sent a new driver who's never been here before and he didn't know we had dogs and we didn't know he was even coming. He almost sprayed my dogs with some type of bear spray or something. If he sprays my dogs on my property because you are too incompetent to let us know a new driver is coming I will sue your company to the moon and back. Very serious legal action will occur. That is a promise. You people are terrible at what you do.

Charged duplicate fees, which were supposed to be removed and have not been. Was charged for a service call that I did not authorize or need personally. I was under the impression the service work was to aid the delivery person, and making the delivery which isn’t my problem. Service tech has a very strange, aloof, attitude, and personality. Customer service is just awful.

I've been waiting all week for someone to respond to an email inquiry I initially sent July 8 and the followed up with a second inquiry July 10. All I get back is the automated reply that someone will be in touch, but no one ever responds. I've spent almost a month trying to get one single propane delivery and be billed correctly for it. I initially requested a fill June 17. It took four attempts to get my tank filled completely, which didn't happen until July 3. It is now July 11 and my invoice still has not been corrected to the price per gallon I was promised on June 17. Twice I was hung up on by customer service agents who said they would put me through to a supervisor and then disconnected me instead. As a longtime customer of more than 20 years, I have never before been so disrespected and mistreated by any company. AmeriGas should be deeply ashamed of its behavior toward customers.

We ran out of gas completely and put in a request on a Sunday hoping to hear an update a couple days later of when we could expect our tanks to be filled. I called the help line which apparently doesn't even contact the local office, so they had no idea when to expect the delivery. We ended up having to go 9 DAYS without gas because I refused to spend double the price to get it "expedited." (So a total of $450 instead of like $220). Throughout that 9 days, I called 3 times requesting an update of when we could expect a delivery since it literally impacts our ability to cook any food. So we had an entire week of not being able to eat or cook at home. And then finally on day 7, I called and knew that the following day (which was a holiday) was the last day of the estimated date range and requested she make us a priority. They did and ended up showing up after putting through a priority to the local chain/office. This whole process was ridiculous and we just about canceled everything, but found out it would be yet another multi-hundred $$$ dollar charge to cancel on top of everything else. The customer service is a joke.

It was ? difficult to converse with the customer representative. We waiting seven days for a delivery when we were out. Did not get a call for delivery so no one was at home, they disconnected the valves until we could be home, charged a few to come out to reconnect and charged a few for service call. Not customer friendly, not helpful and very inconvenient.

My tank was running below 30% so I called to get an update on the delivery status, which the system said had been initiated nearly a monthly earlier. The person with whom I spoke gave me no solidI tried the online chat twice. In each case I asked to be referred to an agent. The second time I waited 21 minutes and received NO help.Final I called in desperation when the tank was at 8%. The person with whom I spoke was able to arrange a delivery for the next day.ON Line chat system - total failure 0 of 5.Telephone customer support 3 of 5: one person was a pure zero the other a 4.
