I made my way out to Withers Wool after seeing them at the Maryland Sheep and Wool. The business is open Thursday-Saturday 11-3pm or by appointment. I found a quiet slice of paradise at withers in the pollinators garden and broadened my fiber knowledge by discussing and buying some of the fiber mixes from Marc Withers. Over all I highly recommend their fiber and their yarn. I've made a top out of the mill spun and enjoyed working with the hand spun core yarn for an electric headband. And at this point I have countless pounds of fiber I'm slowly spinning into a delightful arrive of yarns.

Withers wool is such a fun destination. The fiber art is exquisite. The property is gorgeous and very inviting. The peacocks, goats, sheep and chickens are so much fun and the pond, water feature and pollinator garden is magnificent. Marc Withers is a very gracious host and his enthusiasm for the fiber and the farm are contagious. Definitely worth the trip!

Withers Wool is more than a yarn shop. It's a whole experience! The shop is located on a beautiful farm where the animals the fiber comes from live. You are able to purchase fiber in any form from off the animal, to batting to finished yarns. Such a fabulous place to visit and pick up some beautiful fiber and learn something new about processing fiber! Check out their Instagram @withers.wool and their Facebook page Withers Wool and Farm! Fun videos and photos of the animal and fiber!

Unbelievable!!!! If you are a spinner, you will definitely want to come here! There are more well prepared rovings (mostly merino) of the most wonderful colors and softness than you can imagine. If you don't spin, there are also many handspun yarns, with a myriad of art yarn choices.

It’s like walking into a living postcard of rolling hills and acres of pastureland. A unique part of the experience is getting a complimentary tour from Marc, the owner, to see the merino sheep, angora goats, peacocks, and other animals that form the source material for the museum-caliber fiber art and yarns.
