The new ownership is ran by a habibi he’s dishonest and prices are different for the same items everytime. Let this place be your last resort if you have a choice.

I wandered in here to see what this store had to offer compared to pictures and reviews. It was in grim shape and needs some major TLC. The worker, presumed owner, was very nice and helpful. The animals, however, need a condition improvement: if thermometers were correct, the tropical fish and Bettas need an increase from 68!! to around 78-82. The tanks needs a scrub and polish and I think each tank needs a sponge filter added if it does not already have one. The pond fish need some attention. The layout and setup of the tanks overall is very cool and has incredible potential. I think with some dedication or part-time high schoolers the owner could teach and share their knowledge of the trade and how to take care of creatures in the best way possible. I understand they are for sale and will end up in a future home, but their current homes need some love so they can thrive, not just survive. The place itself just needs some rearranging to put the out of use tanks near the back. If they're, for sale, definitely water test them, check the caulking, and give them a clean and slap a used sticker and price on them. I understand they are very heavy, so I do recommend the place have one employee, at least part time if they can afford it. In addition, see if there's a painter who has done a pet store before and get the place touched up. If the owner has an artist in the family, they could do some animal artwork on the walls to bring the place to life. I love the pet industry and private stores, but....this place currently gives a good name to commercial pet stores. It just needs some attention and it could be a 4-5star place easy. If someone occupies the store everyday I encourage them to dive in, I understand it is more/a lot of work, but I think getting involved with animals and upgrading their care is very fulfilling. Hope this helps, respectfully.

This is possibly the worst store I have ever been in. The animals are clearly not cared for and it's simply depressing to step inside this store. I went in and my heart broke because there was a little kitten just being kept in a glass display case just crying her little heart out. I wished I could just take the kitten. All the animals looked unhealthy and the place smelled weird. I don't know a lot about what fish, reptiles, and birds need (though it looks like other reviewers do!) but just from looking in the store, I could tell that none of the animals were getting their needs met. I truly hope this place gets shut down.

This store is a shadow of what it used to be. The old owners got out after they were robbed, and took most of their merchandise with them. The new owner sells mostly goldfish now along with a few tropical fish, and some of the fish tanks are so covered with alge that you can't see inside. The store is also chílly inside and I noticed the parakeets were huddled together at the bottom of their cage. The new owner seems willing to haggle over price, though.

this has to be a front for a nefarious operation. a very strange & outrageous experience from start to finish. try Tom’s Tropicals in Perry Hall or the aquarium store in Timonium; they primarily sell fish and other aquarium equipment.this place didn’t carry a tank heater? what?

This store is horrible, it should be shut down. Is there a health department for pet stores!!!! It stench is soooo bad even through my mask the smell was rancid, there were no fish..all the tanks in there were empty and or filled with dirty water. I wish I would have taken pictures but I walked in quickly walked around and left out!!! Dont waste your time.
