“Excellent sewing store and repair shop. The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to share their expertise—it's like chatting with a friend who genuinely loves what they do. The selection of fabrics and threads is fantastic, and they carry everything you need for any project, big or small. They diagnose and service new and old machines and clearly know what they’re doing. They know their customers by name, which is really nice. I’m looking forward to taking some classes and learning to sew! Plus, the store is conveniently located next door to a charming candy/old New England general store and an excellent diner—perfect for making a day of it! Highly recommend!”

“I would LOVE to give a positive review to this place, as it is a small business and local to where I often need party supplies! I have tried to place orders with them twice - today and a year ago - for large orders of balloons (the first time was a bouquet delivery, and this time is for a large arch). Balloon arches are very pricey ($250 + $100 deposit + $20 delivery fee), but I am happy to support small businesses rather than the big corps, like Party City, etc. Unfortunately, Sugar Snap has been unable to accommodate either request for me! So disappointing! Sadly, they are not open Mondays and could not accommodate a balloon arch order I need for a Tuesday in two weeks because they open at 10am on Tuesdays. Again, I wish I could give you my business, but you have not been open when I need your services! Perhaps you would consider paying someone to come in an hour early to fulfill $300 orders? I know that times are tough and people don't want to work, but I'm sorry I could not order from you! :( I will try again, though!”

“I live in Australia, and like US and world coins. While looking for certain coins, I came across Northeast Numismatics (NEN). I was particularly impressed by their site which has an extensive range of hard to find US and world coins. It's well laid out and easy to find your way around the site. Being an Australian, I appreciate the fact that NEN deals with overseas customers. I was surprised that they offer discounts on most of their inventory (only brand new items are excluded for a short period of time). This is rare on an organizational website. Their items are already competitively priced, so to have room to manoeuvre on price is a significant bonus. Over time, I have put in offers on coins, negotiated a satisfactory price, and received various packages through the mail. The packages have arrived quickly and have been well-packed. It wasn't until I started trading goods that I got to understand the people more and how they work. I've sent in over 100 items in recent months. During this process, I worked through Frank Sawin. He makes offers on my goods, and if I'm not satisfied, then we negotiate on a mutually acceptable price. Frank communicates in super fast time and responds to every email I send (80 or more to date). He is always polite, respectful, friendly and helpful. If I want to trade for inventory, we negotiate a satisfactory price, and this offsets my goods. While we are negotiating, he puts the item on hold so I don't lose it. The process is painstaking and Frank has never lost patience with me or shown any annoyance. Instead, he offers assistance even when I don't request it. I have found him to be scrupulously honest and a person of integrity. He goes out of his way to please, and also enquires if he can keep a look out for any special items I'd like and he'll purchase them at a very good price for me. The shipping process is also impressive. As you can imagine, shipping to Australia is challenging. Mike Zabbo, the shipping manager, prepares all of the customs and other necessary paperwork, and keeps me abreast of what I need to know. He then vacuum seals (never had this before) the coins in protective packages, or if I order a lot, puts them in hard, plastic containers which are very sturdy. Even in the hard containers, soft packing materials are put between each coin to protect them knocking against each other. Then, soft packing materials are thrown over everything, and the boxes or packages are sealed tightly. They always arrive quickly by registered mail...my last one in a week! If I send items to be traded, then my return shipping is covered, free of cost...quid pro quo. Mike is also a very good and prompt communicator. He is a straight up guy...no BS or run around...he does his best to make the process as easy and as reliable as possible. Frank, Mike, the website and organizational policies highlight NEN as a customer focused service which puts people first, which is becoming increasingly rare...but, don't trust me...try them yourself, if you haven't already.”
