Horrible gas station! The employee there had to be high because I could not get a straight answer for him.
Car inspection station wasn't open despite the sign, and I paid for $40 for gas and my gas tank was full before I used it all and trying to make sure that I got my money back took about 10 minutes because the guy working was arguing with me and couldn't understand

Went there for an State inspection, as I have been for a number of years. Quick, simple and thorough. Only one time a number of years ago did they find an always-on little driving light bulb out. Replaced it for a reasonable $10. Sure, I could have bought the bulb myself and changed it for less, but when you factor in the costs associated with stocking a bunch of different bulbs to have the needed on on hand and labor for 5min to change it, $10 is reasonable and fair. That engenders my trust.

Do not come here to get work done. I went in to get my car looked at because of an exhaust leak and because of the check engine light. The codes were p0138, p0351, and p0607. Their mechanic, Andrew, is either incompetent or was trying to scam me into a bunch of work that does not need to be done.
First he tells me that he doesn't know which engine coil needs to be replaced, so he wants to replace all of them. This is nonsense, because the codes literally tell you which one. Then he wants to replace the O2 sensor (which isn't even broken, but going off because of the exhaust leak). He also wanted to replace my ENTIRE exhaust pipe instead of just the section that had the leak.
Knowing this is ridiculous, i get a second opinion from another mechanic. The second opinion tells me the sensor is fine (the exhaust is setting it off), only one coil needs to be replaced, and just the broken part of the exhaust needs to be fixed. About $1,000.
But at South Acton Gas, I am forced to either be scammed upwards of $3,500 for work that does NOT need to be done, or eat the lesser scam of a $75 diagnosis fee to be lied to just to get my car keys back (oh but they'll waive the fee if i get the needless work done). I tried to call today to speak to the owner/manager. Instead, Andrew comes on the phone again, claims to be the manager, and refuses to put Johnny (the owner) on the phone. When I told Andrew I didn't need the work he recommended done and I wanted to speak to the owner about the unprofessional situation, Andrew's response was "I don't remember you being in my mechanical engineering class." And then he is all "you want to speak to the owner, come on down and see if he'll speak with you. We've got cameras and everything." Just really hostile. Wish I could get my $75 back. Andrew is a real piece of work.
EDIT: Disappointing but unsurprising the owner is in on it based on his reply. Incredible that he tried to find silver lining in Andrew's extremely unprofessional comment and doesn't adress his hostility. I was literally just citing the second opinion and Andrew came at me but ok lmao

We come here to get our cars inspected and these guys are literally some of the nicest people you will meet. It makes getting the car inspected enjoyable. Sounds silly but it’s the little things.

I cannot more highly recommend Johnny, Andrew, and the rest of the staff at South Acton Gas. I honestly feel like they are my brothers, and so appreciate their respect, kindness, fairness, and generosity to me and my family as their customers. Love you, guys.

Honestly I have to start with saying this is the best shop around ,great group of guys who know what they’re doing and excel in customer service from start to finish! Found them through a coworker and have taken my car to them for any repairs , and they don’t skip a beat with care for not only your car but you. You won’t regret stopping by if you ever need any work done on your car. Phenomenal all around!!!

Our family were using this station for car repairs until one day we brought in a car for repair and the owner flat out said" I work on cars but not your car" Aghast my sister-in-law asked why and he replied I'm not working on your car. Consequently we have stopped using this station.
