Started coming here a year ago to buy detail supplies and fluids for my older vehicles that regular Advance locations stopped carrying; then discovered they’ll make custom spray paint cheaper than a couple local auto body supply stores so I began to use them for that, too. Good counter staff, especially a younger woman who has been very helpful and friendly in past visits.
Today, I’m the only customer in the store, four guys at the desk as I walk in, none immediately acknowledge that I need assistance. Needed one simple can of spray paint, had all the info ready, gentleman who starts to assist me is having issues finding the code, but eventually he does. He tells me it’ll be a wait for a can of paint (10 minutes). No problem: until I realize the guy who is in charge of the paint is standing right next to me continuing on his personal conversation with the other staff. This goes on for two-three minutes, then he begins to work on it. He asks what the paint code is to his coworker, and one of the other guys sitting down doing nothing just states “well that’s an awful color.” Thanks for your opinion, I suppose. Then him and what I assume is the manager/supervisor of the bunch continue to sit at the counter, and shockingly, start unprofessionally bad-mouthing certain paying accounts who do business with them, swearing included. Some of these businesses and people that were rattled off in their conversation I personally know and do business with myself, so it took a lot for me
to hold back and say something.
Eventually the color is mixed in a cup and brought out for me to approve, and it’s the absolute wrong color, which then takes the entire village to figure out why it’s the wrong color. They’re conversing back and forth to try this and that and this code (which was the original one I *GAVE* him), and then one of the guys tells me they may not have the tint to do the color and that I need to bring them the car or fuel door to scan. Rightly so as I want the paint to match, but given the fact that I can’t provide them a sample this instant they’re unable to assist any further. So I just said I’ll go somewhere else and left. If the employee found the correct code in the first place, this would have been a 90-second visit since they couldn’t make the paint anyway, instead I got an entire 15-minute song and dance.
I can understand not having the right supplies to mix a can of paint as it’s not a common color, but what I can’t get over is the horrendous attitude of the staff and the lack of professionalism talking about paying accounts negatively as if there wasn’t a customer right in front of them. I’m not one to leave a bad review, or a review period, but this left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will never return and will also have anyone else I’ve sent over to get paint and supplies go elsewhere.

I needed to get some touch-up paint for my doctors car. Nobody stocks it. With the paint code, they mixed up a 7.5oz spray can in less than 1 hour. I also picked up some molding clips for a different car. They had them in stock. A quick thanks to the counter guys and the guy who made the paint for me, and Warren too.
